What a month! WHINEFEST!!
I worked my TOOKUS off this month, man. Lost 15 pounds, but when I got measured at Curves today - lost NOTHING, not ONE SINGLE MILLIMETER off my body.
VERY tired and dragged out this week. (Lost nothing this past week, I might add )
Not feeling my best about results this month for some reason. My size isn't changing, so I feel a little depressed and frustrated, wondering where those 15 pounds went.........
Then again, I'm mad about the fact that the scale didn't move at all this week, too.
Ahhh, I just wanted to vent to people I KNOW will understand. I'm at my 4 month today, I've lost 75 lbs, and I know that's great, but it's NEVER fast ENOUGH, is it? This in-between stuff is slow torture at times like this!
Thanks for listening!
Donna
Hi there Donna, I had my surgery on 12/15/03. I lost 65 pds the first 3 months. It also took me another few weeks just to take off another 15 pds. I am very thankful that I lost 15 pds more. It took me longer. I do believe the body knows when to slow it down. I started at 245 pds and now I am 165 pds. I also joined curves on the 22nd. I would love to lose some inches but will be satisfied with the pds also. My 4 month anniversary was the 15th. I will be approaching my 6 month anniversary on 6/15/03. I hope to hit the 100 pd mark. I dont know how far you are in your weight loss or how much more you have but for me its about another 30 pds. BE PATIENT*** WE HAVE COME A LONG WAY. TO US FOR BEING SMART AND MAKING THIS MOVE TO THE OTHER SIDE.. i AM SO HAPPY I COULD AND BY THE WAY I AM GOING IN A FEW HOURS.. I hear you and do understand.... TAKE CARE TO YOU.... Lorraine
Donna, you and I are surgical "twins".
I hit my plateau in March and it was sooooo depressing. I only lost 10 lbs the entire month! People kept telling how much thinner I looked, even though I knew I was staying the same. Then in April, I didn't change anything I was doing, but dropped 20 lbs and at least one size.
I think we have to just wait it out, even though we want to see constant downward progress. I know that I can't eat 600-700 calories and NOT lose weight.
Good luck, you looser!
