Good morning all, I thought I would post a question today. Since we are all about at the same place in our journey... How are you emotionally this month? How long was your longest plateau? Are you where you thought you would be in weight loss at this point? What has been your greatest challenge in Month 4? Have a great day! Tracy MINE: How are you emotionally this month? This month has been my worst. I am rollercoastering through the gammet of emotions! How long was your longest plateau? Month two I had a plateau that lasted about 3 weeks! I thought I was gonna die!!! Are you where you thought you would be in weight loss at this point? No, In the beginning I thought that weight loss would be much faster. I thought I would lose 100 pounds in about 3 months. But I am happy with the fact that I AM losing! What has been your greatest challenge in Month 4? I think it is still the same old...same old... Getting in the fluids and remembering the vitamins has seemed to gotten harder this month! Forgetting the vitamins...because I am forgetting the vitamins! (Memory loss for lack of vitamins!)

How are you emotionally this month? more school that wls related emotions. just stressed out mostly How long was your longest plateau? 3 weeks my 2nd month in February Are you where you thought you would be in weight loss at this point? I would have thought to be at least at -60/70 instead of -53. What has been your greatest challenge in Month 4? I am just about to hit my 4th month anniversary and the past 2 weeks I have been horrible with protein, water and my vitamins. I am sooo stressing about school and avoiding doing what I really need to do--study and stick with my WLS requirements. And exercise....what in the heck is that?? I can't wait for May 5th to BE OVER and have PASSED my classes. Then I get a much needed string of mini vacations for the REST of the MONTH! I am sick of this job...sick of the crap...sick of the crappy weather... I want WARMTH and SUNSHINE. I need to feel energized!

How are you emotionally this month? I'm pretty high with my weight loss as people are really making comments that encourage me. I'm a little testy with hubby though.....this is his busy time and he gets gritchy when he has a lot on his plate (much of which HE chooses). How long was your longest plateau? 11 days with NO loss what-so-ever Are you where you thought you would be in weight loss at this point? Not quite, but I think I was possibly unrealistic. I wanted/ expected to loose 100 lbs. in 6 months and I'm not really quite on track for that, but I am on track to be within 10 lbs. of that so I'm happy! What has been your greatest challenge in Month 4? Actually, it is getting easier for me now. I have stuck to the "plan" and don't really have cravings. All the positive feedback from friends/family reinforces this for me. The weather is great for walking.....which I do daily, sometimes twice a day. If anything, I'm probably TOO confident....food could still probably take over my life, incidiously....that's my biggest danger now...being too confident. Also, I am dealing with anemia and female stuff (may have to have a hysterectomy) and they are connected and probably induced by the rapid weight loss.....so that is a bit of a challenge too. Jenni

How are you emotionally this month? I am doing really good emotionally. I haven't had any challenges in that area. How long was your longest plateau? It lasted about 2 weeks. I'm sure there will be more to come, so I just try to brace myself. Are you where you thought you would be in weight loss at this point? You know I'm not really sure. I tried not to set myself up for any particular number. I figure that I'm doing everything I'm suppose to do and so eventually the weight will have to come off. What has been your greatest challenge in Month 4? At this point I have to remind myself I've had surgery. I have felt REALLY good and not had any problems for which I thank God! I too am having female problems though and I guess will have to deal with that at some point. Blessings to everyone on Terrific Tuesday! Jill

Hey Tracy: Emotionally this month? I work with accountants and so pre-April 15th I didn't even know I had any emotions. Since then sort of glum! Have so much work to catch up on......... My longest plateua was 3 weeks in February. Fortunately I was OK because I knew I could not possibly be done losing. My greatest challenge for month 4 is PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN! I got my blood work back after 3 1/2 months and my protein (albumin) was 12.5 when it should be between 20 and 40! Needless to say my hair is falling out in clumps and I could easily sleep 20 hours a day. And like you liquids and vitamins (4 times a day) are my next problems. I have discovered Propel goes down easier than water but I am concerned about the carbs/sugars. (2 sugars per 24 oz -so I limit myself to one bottle a day.) I have not lost as much weight as I thought I would have by now. I am down 64 pounds and need to lose 93 more til I reach my goal of 150. So I am a slow loser but at least I am losing. Sometimes reading other people's success stories on WLS inspires me and sometimes it depresses me because I don't lose as quickly. Well I guess I will go get some more cheese to go with this whine!!! How are you emotionally this month? Emotionally I would have to say this has been my worst month. Not necessarily directly related to the WLS, but just in general. How long was your longest plateau? I have been lucky and in going back and checking my weights week to week I have lost something every wee****il this week. I actually was a pound higher this weigh in day than last week and that upset me, especially since the week before my loss was only 1 pound. I did stop doing protein shakes and that seems to be catching up with me. I feel tired and I am not losing the weight. I am planning to go back to doing them. Are you where you thought you would be in weight loss at this point? No. I had hoped to be at 199 by March 17th, then April 1, then April 15th and here we are starting May and today I was at 210 although I have gotten as low as 208. I know my goals were lofty, but some have done that well. What has been your greatest challenge in Month 4? My feelings and tiredness, and getting back on track

Okay, here are my responses..... How are you emotionally this month? I am a bit stressed out about school and having enough time for my hubby now that he is home. I used to think there was more time in 24 hours. How long was your longest plateau? It was almost 15 days... I don't want another one of those but we are about to hit some starting at 6months... Are you where you thought you would be in weight loss at this point?I guess so, I didn't know what to expect really but if I go by my doctor... at 6 months he wants me at -63 pounds. I am 5 months on Saturday and I am at -68 pounds. What has been your greatest challenge in Month 4? I can't help it but when I get stressed nothing seems to help but those evil carbs!! These dang Pringles keep jumping into my mouth--I bought them for my hubby but I won't buy those again come mid term next semester. I can usually keep away from things like that but not this past week!! UGH!! ~Rachel
