Good Morning Folks, I hope it okay with y'all that I'm posting the QOD.. but I've had a ? Ive been kinda curious about ... How is your significant other (if you have one) or close friends reacting to your weight loss/lifestyle change? As for my husband - he's acting kinda weird.. watching me closely..oh he's liking the new body that's emerging but he seems sort of distant.. HAve a great Sunday Elaine

Hi there Elaine, I dont have a significant other but my true friends are very happy for me. I have lost 80 lbs since 12/15/03. Glad you are doing well. I think we need to concentrate on ourselves and me of all who is giving this advice needs not to concentrate on the negatives things people are saying to me. My brother in law is calling me saggy azz..... my nephew is calling me a shapei ... the dog with the wrinkles ... I THINK THEY ARE JEALOUS... I AM ENJOYING THIN.... YOUR HUSBAND WILL ADJUST.. Hi Elaine I am now smaller than when I first met my husband almost 10 years ago. He is amazed and says I look wonderful. The other day he did mention the "extra skin" on my arms and I told him that was what we were saving out money for...lol!! My husband has never been the jealous type. We went to the big 4th ID celebration on base last Thursday and his Sgt Major hadn't seen me since last fall. He told my husband he better be treating me right or someone might steal me away. My hubby just said, "I'd like to seem them try it." ~Rachel

Hi Most of my friends are not happy with the leaner me.I am now speaking up to other people and now we are moving to Maryland in June and that isn't setting well with a lot of folks.It will be a fresh start for us...........steve

Most of my close friends live far away and haven't seen me since my wedding in Sept 2002. Same with most of my relatives. The folks here are nice but there really isn't any "physical" competition among the people I work with. They are complimentary but nothing overboard. TONS of people just seem to ignore the change. I will see a lot of my relatives over Memorial Day weekend and one of my best friends so that should answer a lot of questions BUT I have only been fat for 8-9 yrs so it wasn't like I grew up that way. So they remember me when I was younger and normal sized (was never skinny) I met my hubby when I weighed 220, got down to 189 ish at one point early on and then gained gained gained since I have known him. I know he likes the weight loss and has been more physical but lately his work has been stressing him out sooo much he hasn't been interested. I don't force the issue.
