QUESTION OF THE DAY
Hi Lorraine,
All I can do is try my best. I fail occassionally and try not to keep doing it over and over. Right now I exercise 45 min 5 days a week, which I NEVER did, had the WLS surgery and eat correctly most of the time. This is the best I can do and I hope and pray it will be successful.

Lorraine,
Quick note-- when you type in all caps it is considered YELLING online.
But as far as maintaining.....for some reason I don't think about it much.
I know it is a concern but since I am still just trying to consistenly LOSE in the first place I don't think about the long term. I hope that I can get used to small portions/increased exercise/improved lifestyle and stay in a normal range.
I am barely 1/2 way there so it will be a good 9 months before I can consider maintaining.
It amazes me that people at 4 months are close to goal! I am still 62 lbs for my dr's goal and at least 72-77 from my own goal. (I honestly would love to be "normal" weight) for 15 minutes or so!! To be honest, I expect to regain a little after reaching goal, as that appears to be very common. I don't know on this question. I certainly don't INTEND to fail and I AM a very optimistic person but since I have never known anything but failure with "diets," it is hard to imagine being the weight I want to be for years at a time. I try to keep telling myself that my past (being obese) doesn't have to dictate my future now that I've had WLS, but I'm still convincing myself.
