Optisource
Hi there December siblings!
At my last support meeting our nutritionist handed out samples of a multi vitamin/calcium/B-12 pill called Optisource. It's chewable and you take it four times a day. Now i know that seems like alot. But you don't have to take the B-12 every day and the calcium and the multi vitamin on top of it! Just the Optisource! You get it at www.resource.walgreens.com
it's $24.99 plus shipping. I think that makes it roughly $30.00. But I think it's way cheaper than buying all three of the other ones seperate.
It has...
{you take this four times a day}

The pill is about as big around as a nickle. and thick, but it's chewable. has an orange flavor. the calcium, our nutritionist through Peoria Sergical Group said it's the citrate that we need. They also have a little protein bar that's I Think an ounce and a half. it's chocolate. and they have two protein drinks also those are 4oz each. caramel and strawberry flavors.

Hello Michelle,
According to what I read on the internet, sublingual is not a good source, nor readily absorbed either. Here is the artical...Maybe we all need to research a little more. Tracy

I found another artical backing up what the other said and also stating that taking prilosec can inhibit the absorption of the B-12 also.
Here it is...

Michelle,
I never thought about it before. Shots don't bother me but I have heard that they wear off too quickly, long before you are ready for the next so I opted for sublingual at the prompting of my dietician. I think that I am going to look into this B12 intranasal. My insurance should cover it other than my copay of $25. I do like the idea of this vitamin though, maybe I'll take it too. Tracy
