Hey, guys! What do you use for protein powders? I've been reading about powders that some of you are putting into your coffee. Are they unflavored, or vanilla flavored or what? Where do you get them? What kind of protein are they? 30 grams would be a great boost! Let's compare our powders for curiosity's sake! I still use the Atkin's shakes every morning for convenience ( 20g protein, 5 carbs, 170 calories) but I do have a chocolate GNC product - a whey protein isolate - called Designer Pro: 100 calories, 18g protein, 4g carbs. It's very good, even mixed with water, but I'd like to see more protein in it. Tell us whatcha got! Donna

Hi Donna!! Here is an for you....I use Champion Nutrition Pure Whey Stack in Cocoa-Mochaccino flavor. Mix 1 scoop (130cal-2g fat-4g carbs-23g protien) with 1 cup coffee then add a splash of your favorite SF syrup. I use vanilla or B-52. This is my breakfast every morning. MMMMMM I ordered mine from XXX.wlssuccess.com. Their service has been great and fast too. I have also found Champion Nutrition in a local lo-carb store, but even with shipping it is more expensive here in town. They also make, vanilla, (mix it with orange sunrise crystal light MMMMMM) strawberry and banana. All are great and mix with no grit or lumps. Hope this helps Kimberly

You know I was wondering the same thing. The only protein powder I use is the Whey Fruity. It tastes like kool aid. I was always scared that the protein powders would clump up in hot stuff like coffee. I hope you get lots of responses!! Rhonda

Hi Donna, I use Designer Whey from GNC. VERY tasty! It is 18 grams of protein alone. I mix it with milk and get about 24 grams. I heard that your body can only absorb about 30 grams of protein per meal. Fr whatever that knowledge is worth! Tracy

Donna, I love Champion Whey chocolate and vanilla mixed with water. I'm a no frills person. It's real simple and inexpensive. Shannon told us last week www.dpsnutrition.com has 5 pounds for $23.00. The cheapest I've seen yet. Shipping and handling less than $5.00 for shipments weighing less than 10 pounds. Good luck. Collette

I am doing online searches on modes of ventilation and reading what they have to say ..... at least it looks like I am "working" instead of staring at papers on my desk

Hi Donna I use Unjury, it has 20 grams per scoop but I use a scoop and half to make 30 in my coffee twice a day. You cant make the coffee too hot though it like curdles the protein and is Nasty Nasty Nasty! I use instant decaf and nuke it for 1:35 minutes. then add my coffee and either french vanilla or hazelnut creamer. one scoop vanilla Unjury and half of chocolate. It's very good actually. I do it that way cause milk makes me feel like Bleck! Hugs Penny

The wish Center (www.wishcenter.org) has a protein powder specifically composed for patients of bariatric surgery. It has major doses of calcium and protein. The recipes for their drinks are great too.
