TB's Update
Hey Family,
This is Tee, I went to the Doctor yesterday for my monthly check-in and I got on the scale and weighing in at 287, I can't remember when I weigh that. I have lost 90 lbs in 4 1/2 months, that is great. I went to my support group yesterday and one of the ladies had her surgery the same week as me, she lost 70 lbs, and looks good. She also told me that she took a picture before the surgery and keeps it in her wallet, so when she feels bad, she can look at what she use too look like. I took a picture last night of myself and couldn't recognize myself. I would only take pictures for the head up. I can say that the WLS officially change the quality of my life. I would love to talk to some of you all, if you want to call my number is 877-886-9110, with this surgery I feel like I'm on an emotional rollercoaster, so many things going through my mind. Because being heavy almost all my life, I was settling for the anything, but not ANYMORE!! Question, I'm 4 1/2 months post, and I think I'm pregnant, I know they say wait a year before your conceive, but I kind of slipped. What should I do? Do you think that I will have a problem?
381/289/my goal is 160
Have a super, fantastic, wonderful day!
Good Morning Tee,
Congratulations on the phenomenal weight loss! You did good!!! As for the pregnancy issue. I think I would tell my surgeon immediately so that you can get on proper suppliments as the first few months are the absolute most important in the development of the baby. Don't keep wondering, find out for sure and get in to see your surgeon, who should be able to recommend a good OBGYN for you and together can make sure you and the baby are healthy. Have a great day!!! Tracy
I agree - see your surgeon and get tested RIGHT AWAY, don't waste time guessing.
Congratulations on doing so well! The "emotional rollercoaster" seems to be normal, but if you're truly pregnant, it will be very intense, indeed! I was a basket case 11 years ago!
We're all growing into certain feelings of worthiness that skinny people have taken for granted all their lives; it can be confusing and a little scary
to feel the freedom to speak our minds and please ourselves for a change, but by golly, we've EARNED it, and we deserve it no less than the people we've been busting our butts to please all these years. I'm having a ball! I hope you will, too!
Kudos to YOU!
