Stiches resurfacing???

What is up? I think I am going crazy right now. I am almost 4 month out, and just this weekend I have had these 2 itchy pinpoint spots coming up close to 2 of my lap sites. I think that they are just part of the stitch that is still left inside of me. I guess that I should have had my Dr. remove them. I just pulled them up with a pair of tweezers ans snipped them off about 3 weeks post op. Anyone else had this happen? Hello Ecila, I had that happen years ago with a c-section scar. I think it was the disolvable stitches that they place internally sometimes do not disolve completely so they work thier way to the surface. Mine had a fleshy thing growing to it. I guess it was a protective coating so it would not be so irritating. I pulled mine out too, but I did not have to snip it out, it all came out about 1/4". If you had to snip it off, that means more is in there so ask the doctor. Tracy

Ecila, Congratulations on the great weight loss if I were you I would check with the doctor on the stiches, just to be on the safe side. Jackie

Ecila Yes Atcually Right after surgery about a month I noticed a Stich From where they pulled my drain so I went back in and The Doctor was So embarrssed(I can't spell) Because his assit pulled my drain... He basically gave me a lil numbing shot and took it out... It was no big deal. But I would rather you have them do it then yourself...
