4 months out and I feel like a new person.
Hi all! Well, it has been quit a few months. From 313 pounds I'm down to 224. I feel like a new man. I finally worked in my yard for the first time without Blood Pressure problems. I can sleep like a normal person. I feel so blessed that God gave me this oppratunity to live again. I would do it again tomarrow. I pray that everyone out there dealing with obesity gets a chance at life again. Im still losing every month and plan to be at my goal by late summer. God bless you all.
Chris I am so excited for you and thrilled that you are so appreciative of the second chance you have been given. It makes me sick to my stomach when I hear people in my surgeons office talking about the surgery when they only have 50 or 60 pounds to loose... they talk like it is a fix... not a tool. I guess I just view it in a different way. I think of this as a tool, we are given to help us create a better life for ourselves.
Although I am pretty close to loosing as much as you have, I still feel so far away. Granted, I had 50lbs on you from the beginning. I weighed 363 pre-op and I am now 279. I too am very thankful and blessed that this is working as well as it is for me. I workout 2-3 times a week and look forward to what is to come. It has to be even more exciting to know that your goal is right around the corner, where I still have a ways to go. My department at work attends a meeting every year in Hawaii, that meeting is held in December. I am attending this year! I am so excited I can't see straight... oh to be able to enjoy a beach in a swimsuit without being judged by everyone (especially myself!).
Congrats to you and EVERYONE out there that is finally getting that second chance!
