Q.O.D. 4/09
My mom called me tizzylish(don't ask, I don't know. ) and funnie face. My ex called me Goomba(you know the little guy on super mario brothers) and my friends called me Goober in high school. When I switched schools, they didn't like me very much(I think I intimidated them) and they called me Tesoro(it was a gas station in Hawaii) because my name is Cassie and it rhymes with Gassy....go figure....if they only knew me now...BWHAHAHAHAHAHA
Nickname well I have always been called DEE DEE by my family and friends I think alot of them dont even know my real name is Diana...lol
As for nick names in school I think anyone who has had a weight problem has been called many of nasty or colorful names, at least behind our backs I am sure but over all I can only say I have had one true nick name it is Dee Dee. Well hope all have a wonderful Easter.
Diana
I was nicknamed by my dad when I was little. I never had any other nickname, not even a mean one from kids at school. My dad called me "Shelly Squirrel". I use to spell my name like that (Shelly) when I was in 5th grade I changed it cause I couldn't make a cursef "S", we had to write our names in cursef in 5th grade. So my mom and I brained stormed and decided to use the spelling in my given name. So Chelle is the end of my given name.
Boy this is really a good one Jackie... various people over the years have called me sunshine, blue eyes, and as i have become older...sunny...but my favorite nickname was given to me by my daddy when i was about 4-5 months old...he was military and as we lived on base he would get to come home for lunch and would always come in and see me first thing. well i would get soooo excited that my arms would start moving up and down like a bird and usually my mom would have just finished feeding me so as most babies have "air bubbles" i would make little sounds... anyway, my nickname from him was tirdybird.. no one but him called me that and up until the day he died, thats what he called me. so i will treasure it always no matter how silly it sounds...
anyway..
I hope everyone has a Blessed and safe Easter with family and friends.
niteeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
sunny
Nicknames...boy have I gone through them over the years..Well the first one..geez...well you know what rhymes with Jeanie....you get the picture..and of course in grade school all the malicious teasing..but in high school the most memorable one was Duck. A girlfriend of mine noticed that I walked with my toes pointed out. That was one of the reasons for my first diet. I walked that way because I was fat. NOW that I am all growed up..lol..people call me Tinkerbell. I have always been told that I may be a big girl but I don't let it weigh down my spirit. So I have been every variation of Tinker ever since.
When I was younger my mom used to come into the room and say "wake up Sunshine"
but I never really had a nickname per se.... Shannon can't really be shortened to anything.....
In my last 2 yrs of high school I managed to get the nickname HOT LIPS...my psuedo boyfriend at the time (out of school) went to the same gym as a guy in my homeroom class and one day when he was leaving the BF told the homeroom guy to say "HI TO HOT LIPS".... I came into homeroom the next day and that was it.... of course they were convinced it was from something far more INTIMATE but it was just based on KISSING.....so I have pictures and yearbooks with that nickname all over them .
Same BF when I was in college and I watched SNL all the time and loved that guy that did the funny names in the COPY ROOM...
So I became Shanstress and he was Craigster.
Now, I really don't have anything...I call my husband "My Honey" and I don't have a nickname from him that I am aware of
except maybe when I am in a cranky mood and it rhymes with witch
