Stuck in the 60's......

No I don't mean the 1960's!!.. I have been trying so hard to reach the -70 mark for the last month and a half and I just can't get there!! I was so excited Monday because I finally reached -69 and today I am up a pound and back at -68.. Will this madness never end!!!!

I know what you mean I hate the Plateaus.. Im stuck at -70. One day is is back to -69&-68 it is like my body can't get enough energy to go over the hump.. "I promise it isnt as bad as you think it is on the other side" Im telling my body this daily! Good luck

I would be thrilled to see your 60's....heck even 50 at this point... -45 for moi! maybe I will get enough activity to this easter weekend.....knock off a few pounds Maybe we should all vow to not weigh til MONDAY and maybe we will reach our next goals by then!!!

You are so right Shannon. Sorry, I am being a little petty here. I feel great, I feel like I look great so what do I have to complain about??? It is just a number right? I am in on the vow. NO SCALES UNTIL MONDAY MORNING!!!!!

WELL did it work? Did you avoid the scale til MONDAY?? I did since I was out of town....at the in laws and we walked all over Washington DC on Friday I got on the scale Monda morning....I went from 204 to 201...so NOW I am at -48 lbs YEAH!!! OF course I can't wait for 50 but hopefully by the end of this week that will happen too! It was nice to avoid the scale and see a major drop! I should try to wait til every monday morning...but it is soo easy at home to get on the scale before I jump in the shower...

NO!!! I did stay off the scale until Monday, but it was actually up one pound. I am just so frustrated. I did email my nutritionist and asked her about some of the ways I have read on here about boosting weight loss. Specifically I asked her about increasing carbs. Here is her response: "I would definately not increase your carb intake. On the contrary, I would increase your protein intake. Instead of eating 2-3 oz of meat, eat 3-4 oz of meat. This will cause you to become full and stay full for a longer period of time. You also won't eat as much of the "other" stuff. For instance, eat 3-4 oz of salmon and eat only ½ c of a veggie. Maybe just eat 3 oz of tuna salad for lunch. If you are hungry in the middle of the day grab a handful of almonds. But try not to snack. Hopefully this will jump start your weight loss again. Basically, loosing weight comes from expending more calories than you are taking in. Are you incorporating an exercise routine? It might be helpful to increase the amount of time you exercise by 5 minutes. I know that always helps me. " Sounds like sound advice to me.. I did start Jazzercise last week so that should really help. I will keep you posted. By the way, congratulations on weekend weight loss. I am proud of you!!!

I hear all of you and am trying to stay encouraged I am stuck ON 60 it is killin me - but I keep reading post and hearing that it will pass. I hope so - the test will be this weekend...I am going on a cruise- all you can eat food, pray for my will power - PLEASE - haha

Laura It wil get better. We men lose the weight faster but I wanted to be down 100 lbs 3 weeks ago. I am currently at 97lbs down. What helps me is I only weigh myself 1 time per week. I don't think I would like to see the ups and downs during the week. Hang in there.
