Beef and steak
I have had steak about 3 or 4 times over the last month and I haven't had any problems with it. Just make sure it is a good cut of meat cooked to be tender. I have little ones so I cut small pieces for them and those pieces I cut in half for me. I can only eat about 1/4 of a cup and not too many veggies after that b/c I'm full.
I have had more problems with chicken than I have had w/ steak (I am finally able to eat chicken). Best of luck to you...

no problems here
we eat triple trimmed sirloins...with absolutely no trace of fat/marble etc...in the meat
I slice it VERY thin when I get a bite ...just in case I find a chewy part...
I would stick with sirloin or filet mignon at first for tenderness...you can always use a mallet and pound on it before you cook it!
Tried hamburger as well..no problems there either. I think beef stew would do very well since it falls apart....
the only thing I found tough/chewy so far has been thick cut boneless pork chops. Tried chewing a few bites and gave the rest to the dogs. Not worth the effort or stress wondering if it would get stuck.
I have hamburger all the time but I had steak about a month ago. It went down fine (or so I thought) about an hour later I went to take my pill for the day and took a sip of milk to wa**** down and up came all the steak! I won't do that again for awhile!
But as usual everyone is different!
Good luck

Steak and hamburger are practically the only meats I can eat......They go down great for me......My surgeon doesn't wanting us eating them until 6 months out.....but since I was having so many problems with chicken and turkey I ask if I could try it early and it worked out great!!! Good luck and make sure to check with your surgeon first Jesi
