Scared of going up on calories!
I know by now according to my doctor I should be eating/drinking around 1000 calories.. I dont know how I can get it in my head that it is ok. So far today I have had 503 in calories and 21 in protein. I usually only get 500-600 in calories a day. Has anyone else stressed out about going up on your calories?? Thanks in advance
I get anywhere from 600-900. The paperwork for this phase didn't have a calorie # written on it...but I am guessing around 800.
However in order to get in my 60+ grams of protein I have to have at least 1 protein shake ...which runs around 150-200 calories depending on how much I mound up the scoop!
I think the next phase was 1000 or 1200. BUT unless I add a lot of snacks there is no way I could get that in. I still get eat more than 3/4 cup of food. SO IF I stick with the 3 meals and protein shake...can't get that many cals in. Breakfast is only 100 cals at most with my yogurt depending upon which brand I chose that morning.
Meals don't go over 300 at most usually around 200-250.
When do our stomachs get big enough to hold the 2 cups of food I see on the meal plans for farther out???
I go tomorrow and will get moved up...but don't think it will make a difference....I eat what I want now. Nothing has bothered me.
I just eat 1/2-3/4 cup meals
OF course I won't mention that.....I am supposed to be on some sort of modified food plan....I just chew chew chew chew chew
Hello,
I too am a 600 calorie a day girl. Fortunatly I don't see my doctor until July (and not since January) so no one has told me to up my calories. I too fear that. What if I up my calories and then don't lose anymore weight...what if I can't go back down to the 600 after getting used to the 1000?! I have issues with this subject! I saw a dietician that said I should get 500-750 calories per day, she measured everything on me, had this $11,000 scale that read everythign about you and gave recommendations for what YOUR body needs. Maybe you should see a dietician they know more about what you should be eating than anyone else, they know what is right for YOU and not just a blanket diet for ALL bariatric patients. Tracy
