We have 2 dogs that I got from the Basenji Rescue Group 1 female MAGGIE-- red/white pure Basenji (the amazing BARKLESS DOG!) 1 male MONTY mostly black mixed Basenji and probably Pit Bull We don't know the exact ages....but they stay young acting and active for a very long time THEY are the KIDS of the house and spoiled rotten! love them to death! They are soo funny and make us laugh constantly. They are the only grandkids right now so they get spoiled rotten by Grandmom and Granddad! Last year for Easter they even had an Easter egg hunt. It was a hoot! I used to get Monty to eat his food by hiding it in Easter Eggs and he would pat at them with his paws and then eventually bust them open and eat his food....I guess it is like playing airplane with a baby! BUT it worked. We filled them up with good treats! We specifically bought a bigger vehicle than we needed to accomodate the dogs when we have kids so they can ride along on trips! I would love to have a job where I can bring them to work!

I have a 2 year old Bichon Frise, a little white fluffy dog. We saw him in a pet store, and you know how that goes (How much is that doggie in the windw??) He has turned out to be the best dog ever! He gets very excited when someone comes over (Jackie ) but calms down and just wants to sit in your lap. At night, he sleeps under our covers and curls up next to my leg. All day long, he just follows me around from room to room and sits at my feet. When I get up and move, he gets up and follows me. And, the best thing is...HE DOESN'T SHED!!! Lisa G

Okay I offically feel Bad.... I cannot stand Animals... I grew up with cats my whole life and when I got out on my own I loved not having the cat smell and no cat hair... I cannot stand people that have Animal hair all over there clothes... It Grosses me out... And I am a lil scared of dogs... The only pet I would ever consider having is possibly a fish tank and I would hire someone to come and clean it on a reg basis... So Am I the worst person in the world?

Ohh what a good topic.. I love my pets.. I have 1 Dog. 4 Cats (one pregant) 1 bird. 1 Ferret. Several fish.. Im a little weird.. I name my animals from the Lion King Movie or from PBS. My dog Is a ****zu and his name is PUMBA (Lion King). My cats are Keico which is my oldest sons name in Hawiian, Sagwa from the PBS show, Sarabie from the Lion King, And snuffy (son named him) And my bird is ZAZU. My Ferret is Fe Fe. ( son named) and my fish are Dolphiny, Oscar, Barbo.

I have two kiddos! Shadow, is my 10 year old Scottish Terrier. He is now deaf, this is very sad, but he still has a wonderful life and lots of people to love on him. He doesn't seem to mind too much. He still loves to go for walks and swimming in my pool. Stryker, is my 1 yr old Ocicat (part Ocilot part Tabby) I rescued this little monster shortly after my 15yr old cat passed away. Stryker was being held in a room with no social interaction, given poor food and no love. He was a terror when I got him, hence the name. (It was originally going to be Bo, because he is bow-legged, or Little bit, but those names seemed too nice for this brute!) He is now a big love bug at 15lbs! Still loves to play rough, but is a big kisser and loves to curl up on a blanket! These are my kids and are spoiled rotten. I wouldn't know what to do with my life if I didn't have them! Good Q.O.D.!!

I love sharing about my little puppy. She is a little squirt, only 11lbs. She is a mix of Jack Russell Terrier and something else we aren't too sure about. We named her Sissy. She has the cutest little head and ears! She is my baby.

I have 3 cats. And I was never a "cat" person (I was a dog person), but they stole my heart. They were from a stray cat that hangs around my husbands office. 1 from a previous litter and the last 2 from a later litter. Tres is my calico she is 2 1/2 years old. Her right hind leg was severed just below the knee when she was tiny and a stray. My husband told me about her and I told him to bring her home to me. The Vet amputated the entire leg so she wouldn't use it and keep it infected and bloody. She does't act like she has even missed it. She has quiet the comfy life. Not a care in the world, except to worry if her bowl of food is getting low. The other 2 are litter mates, about 7 months old. Sylvester is my little man in his black coat with white chest and paws. He looks like he is wearing a suit. Star is the runt, she is total grey and is a little baby. She will still try to nurse on your finger if you let her. They are very sweet and so fun to love and observe. Brenda
