Did y'all remember to set your clocks forward? Wonder how many people will be late for Church today? Okay today's question is partly taken from another board (I know, cheating on a Sunday, what have I become) What was the last item of clothing you bought? What do your clothes say about you? Now, before surgery, and when you reach goal? Have a wonderful day Jackie

Just bought a pair of khaki capris on sale, to replace my last pair that are getting loose already. The new ones are a size smaller, and tight, but hopefully they'll fit just as the current ones finally fall off me! Isn't it nice to buy smaller clothes absolutely KNOWING they are going to fit soon? What a change! Donna

Last items of clothes I bought was in desperation! I live in a very small town, not much shopping available! I wore a pair of pants to work on Tuesday that were so big on me it made me feel like a total frump. So I went to our Mall (what a joke) the only stores available is a small Pennys and a Dunlaps. Well I went into Penny's and headed for the 3 racks of Plus Sizes and grabbed a couple of pairs of 20's well they were gross... to big in the waist and to short! So I took a chance and went over to the regular clothes and grabbed some 18 talls, tried them on and OMG they fit. So then I got some 18 jeans and put them on and I almost fainted, I looked good in them! So I figured what the heck I will try on some regular xl shirts, they made me look good. So anyway I ended up with 3 pants and 3 shirts.... feel like a new woman.... maybeeeee this is good bye to plus sizes------whoopee......... I havent shopped in normal size clothes - ever... I remember in grade school my mom buying me clothes from the Sears Catalog - Chubby section (hate that word!)

I can not even remember when I bought something new for myself (it is a record for me). (I did buy a new pair of walking shoes.) It must have been in the fall, because when I decided I wanted WLS I did not want to buy anything new. Since surgery I have been wearing clothes from my closet that I had outgrown on my way up. It is so sool to pull something out of my closet and find it fits!! People at work will ask me where I got something "new" I am wearing and I will tell them 'in my closet'. It is as good as going shopping. I think now and for sure where I get closer to my goal, my clothes are more fitting and not loose and baggy to hide any fat rolls. Brenda

Hi Jackie, NO I DIDN'T REMEMBER and I was the one reminding everyone on Friday! SHame on me!!! lol Well at least I have two clocks in the house that do themselves so I just have to do my alarm clock. OK last article of clothing I bought, easy, went shopping last night! I bought the cutest shirt...All black, long sleeve, low cut in front kind of shirred around the bust all sheer with pink roses enbroidered all over it (Size large). Tight and super hot! I love it and I paid $30 for it!!! UGH! I also bought myself a new light jacket. I am always cold so I have been wearing my old navy colored hoodie sweat jacket that is a 26/28 It about wraps around me twice now and I looked like a frump in it! So I bought an regular size XL (on the skinny side of fashion bug, shirt too) in Pink, hoodie just heavy t-shirt fabric. BUt it FITS and looks SO much better than my frumpy 26/28! I even got my big hiney into a XL skirt on the skinny side of the store too! It looked like hell, but it fit! Love that stretchy stuff! lol Going shopping again today, maybe I'll get something else good! Tracy

Well, I just got back from shopping. I found a really nice skirt to match my new top. Very sexy, flirty, asymmetrical hemed. SO NICE. I got it at a store called Charlotte Russe...I'll never shop anywhere else again!!! They have the greatest clothes! Largest is an XL, It is what I would call a Skinny Store! I was in there shopping with all of these cute little young things and almost teared up when I noticed, no one was giving me the look, you know the one, "why is SHE shopping in this store" look. I seemed to be fitting in! Last night when I was at the Fashion Bug on the Skinny side, they only had one of the shirts I liked left, it was in a large, the sales girl was showing it to me, I said, don't they have and XL? Well, they didn't. She looked at me and said, You'll fit into it! (ME ? looking around for someone else) But I did! So I bought it! Today, I also got a pair of fun earrings, long ones that make youe neck look longer, silver chains wiht pink balls of bunny fur on the ends (SO CUTE) and a new pink purse. I feel like Reese Witherspoon on Legally Blond with my cute pink matchy-matchy-poo-poo outfit and purse. I walked through Dillards (snooty store) and actually got approched by one of the sales ladies to ask if I needed help. This was a GREAT Shopping day! Had FUN FUN FUN!!! Tracy

HELLO DECEMBERITES Last item of clothing was a shirt- size XL... I even teared up a bit not shopping in the plus size dept.. My clothes say about me- easy going, down to earth (at least that's what I look for when choosing clothing) Before surgery I simply looked for something to fit, now I love having the opportunity to find something I actually like... Have a great day Elaine

Hi all... the last item of clothing i bought was really shoes. I am a shoe-a-holic!!! if it is in my size... it is in my closet as for my clothes--i too can go into my closet and shop and find smaller clothes that fit. all of the clothes i am wearing now are at least 5-10 years old and almost new so i still have some good wear out of them before i pass them along. i have vowed not to buy anything new until june when i have a reunion of my entire high school. it is turning 50 so ALL uating classes are going to be there and there is a hugh with a weekend full of activities -- it should be interesting and soooo much fun i have found the perfect dress for the occasion--a leopard print which is something i have never had the figure to wear before (at least without looking like a cow dressed like a leopard--which as you know would definitely stand out in a pasture--so much so that no one would even notice the purpleone so hopefully by then i will look good in it mostly i have clothes that i can wear for at least 100lbs of weight loss and maybe a few more if i havent thrown away the under 200 box... i know i am also a packrat and hate to throw anything away... well as you can see -- i am this babble and should end... if you notice -- i enjoy having fun and laughter as a BIG part of my life so if ever you are offended by my constant attempt at please let me know and i will hide my posts in a far off distant land where the will all the ishness in me and off into the set with me hope ya'll have a great day and some laughs along its path...till another posting... sunny

Sunny, That is so funny! I have all my old clothes from as far back as 15 years ago too! I really don't need to buy anything, but did get a couple of new T-shirts just to have something new (and my new belt). Hey, do you know if T-shirts with the shoulder pads sewn in them are like way out of style? I'm finding a bunch of them in my Large box, but don't even know if I should wear them Lisa G
