Wedding Day!
Good morning everyone. It's kind of early here but I can't sleep. Just too excited, I guess. Today my youngest son, age 26, is getting married. I never thought it would happen. Hopefully his two big brothers will get the idea also.
The rehearsal dinner went well. I ate pork for the first time but no way did I try to eat the whole Iowa chop.
My dress is a size 18 & it is attractive. I'm so glad I didn't have to buy an "old lady" dress. This will be the first time many of our relatives will see me.
One reason I wanted this surgery was so I would not embarrass my sons anymore. My goal was to hit 100 lbs by today but that was set when I was scheduled for Sept. Since the surgery was postponed until Dec, I knew I would not make that goal. However, I am down 89 lbs.
Have a nice day. I know I will.

Dixie,
Have a WONDERFUL day! I so relate to your statement about not wanting to embarrass your sons....I feel the same though my sons are younger, ages 11 and 13 (my step-son is 27). I have also thought about how desperately I want to be in a pretty dress for their weddings (even though they are far off for my younger ones and our older one eloped). WLS was the only way that could happen.....aren't you so glad you did it?!?! I am!! It will be one of my motivations to maintain after I loose all I need to......so that I can not feel like I'm "fat mama" at their weddings! You are going to look grand......and I hope you have a fabulous day!
