How Many Calories Do You Eat?
depends....IF I don't have my afternoon/class snacks then around 600-700.
BUT with my protein shake (200 cals) and my yogurt each day around 80 cals... just depends.
BUT never more than 800-1000 based upon my snack choices
My nutritional guideline didn't have a calorie # for this food phase NOT that I am following that anyways....
but I think after I got back and get to have the more Normal Diet it is around 1000-1200.
I tried adding snacks about a month or so ago when I hit my 3 week plateau in February....but this past week or so I haven't been consistent and it looks like I might be stuck at 206 for a few days...meaning I won't make my 199 weigh in with the DR next week.
Hello Lisa,
I try to keep my calories around 600 per day. I too have heard about losing weight and upping calories, what scares me away from that is, if I try it...up my calories...Get used to it, will I be able to go back to my 600 calories per day? I'm affraid of getting used to it and not being able to turn back! Tracy
I truly struggle to keep mine between 800 and 1000. I could so easily eat more and that is scarey but I have really lately been trying to drink decaf hot tea whenever I want to eat. My appetite returned at 2 months which was a huge disappointment to me. THis was soooo much easier when I wasn't hungry as then I didn't have head hunger either but as soon as real hunger returned, so did head hunger. I fight it every day, sometimes successfully, sometimes not....but I do choose protein when the munchies do get the best of me. I'm not even touching any bread or other high carb foods. I do also walk between 2 and 4 miles a day.

I seem to hover between 500-800 a day, depending on what I'm eating. No sugar, no diet soda, (I seem to recall reading somewhere that the sweetener and carbonation slowed down weight loss, can't remember where) vegetable, whole grain, or legume carbs only, and I have kicked it up a little when I stopped losing, and it seems to work.
