Yes my hair too is starting to come out but not in clumps. It seems to be just a few strands at a time. I hope that it stays that way! Jill

Hi ladies! My hair is everywhere! I have dark shoulder length hair and I am constantly finding in on the floor, on my sleeves, even on my kids...lol! The shower is where I lose the most too! Sometimes I think... I won't need that hair dryer b/c when I get out to the shower, I'll be bald. I have pretty thick hair so I am not too concerned YET. I have been thinking about cutting my hair in the next month or so (maybe before the conference in Arlington). I was thinking shorter with layers and longer bangs. I have had this same cut (in varying lengths) forever and I think I might just want to change it-- just a bit scared. ~Rachel

I have to tell you that my hair has been coming out since 2 months!! Now, I figure it's because I lost weight before the surgery so maybe that triggered it??? Only in the last few weeks has it been coming out a bit heavier, though. I'm kind of glad it's happening now, so when it gets really hot and humid in Houston, it will only take me 2 mintues to blow dry my hair! Lisa G

I was told that if your hair falls out at 3 months, it is from the anesthesia, and if it falls out at 6 months it is from lack of protein. I have been lucky so far , as my hair is not falling out yet.

My hair is falling out too. I recently went and got a short spikey cut and I love it. It doesn't look as thin as it did when it was long. I get a lot of compliments on it too. Jodie 235/183/128 -52

I havent started to lose my hair yet. I am sure it will happen soon but hope it doesnt. Have you heard of anyone NOT losing their hair after surgery? Kim -79

I have read on the main board of quite a few people that didn't loose hair. So far, I haven't lost any (except the normal few strands) either. I've had numerous surgeries in the past and didn't loose hair so didn't really expect to from the anesthesia this time....don't know about from the weight loss and/ or protein intake but so far, so good. I did avoid getting a perm though and am trying to grow my hair to one length so I can get a wedge cut. I have worn my hair short for years but it is thick...and very straight. Jenni -63
