Happy Saturday everyone I slept until 8.30 this morning so the QOD is later than usual I have noticed on the before and after photos that a lot of people wear the same type of clothes no matter what their weight, i.e. overalls, jeans, pinafores etc. I guess that is what their " individual style" is. On extreme makeover they revamp a person's wardrobe, and it is funny to see that the "old style" consists of many pieces of clothing that are similar. Today's question is: Do you think your style will change when you lose weight, and if so, what will be different? What did you own more than one of before WLS? Have a great day, Jackie

For years I have worn black knit pants from the Avenue and various "big" shirts that cover my big hanging tummy. I must have owned at least 40 pairs of these pants over the years...I have about 6 now I want to wear zip up (not stretch elastic) jeans and T-shirts, and also be able to wear pretty, feminine stuff. I picture myself in a field of flowers in a flowery cotton dress and a straw hat I want to be able to tuck my tops in a wear a belt (Brighton of course) Jackie

I'm a jeans, teashirt, sweatshirt, and sweater type of girl! I wear jeans every chance I can get. I love when we have jean days at work. You pay $50 to a charity and getto wear jeans daily. I doubt it will ever change. The one thing I hope to wear after I lose more weight is shorts. I havn't worn shorts in years because I hate my legs soooooooooooo much!

WOW! You mean there is life after elastics?? I would be thrilled to even find a pair of jeans that fit, and pants that zip up that I don't feel like everytime I move I'm going to bust a seam. Mainly because I am speaking from experience. I have busted a few seams in my day! Plus I would like to be able to wear tops that actually fit and aren't so big on me that I look pregnant. I'm not really a dress/skirt person but probably because I never felt like I looked very good in them. Maybe someday that will change... Have a safe weekend everyone. God Bless... Jill -62

Ahh...clothes!!! I love them!.. I work in a profession that requires me to dress professionaly, which has been tough over the years. I can spend a lot of time shopping, and I used to buy what would fit, but now I am buying more of what I like. Loosing this weight is great, well maybe not so great on my bank account, its probably a good thing I live in a real small town without many stores, but lately even Walmart clothes are making me happy!!!!!!!

Hello Jackie, Elastic! YIKES, Would not wear it before surgery and I probably never will! I just never thought that anything with elastic flattered me. I shudder at the thought of being forced to wear anything elastic! (shudder) Being that I am in Florida, I am a shorts girl. It is hot here 90% of the year so shorts are a must to survive the heat. I own probably dozens of skorts. I love skorts. They look like and wear like shorts but hide a multitude of sins underneath the flap! I think I will be forced to always wear shorts, but maybe not just after the weight loss, maybe after the plastic surgery too, I will try to cut out the skorts. Some nice flat front shorts would be great! And of course an nice tight cleavage showing shirt to go with! Thats pretty much what I wear now. Accentuate the positives, I always say! Tracy

Oh this is a fun question b/c I love clothes so much! I used to wear a lot of knit pants too and jeans that seem to go on forever (b/c they were so big). I want to wear a beautiful summer dress that doesn't have pleats...one that is sort of form fitting and not b/c my tummy is big. ~Rachel

Many, many years ago I got an associate degree in fashion marketing. I LOVED clothes. Over the years as I grew heavier I began to detest them! No one would EVER believe I had a fashion marketing degree (and I quit telling people.....too embarassing based on my wardrobe of the last 10+ years). I had the standard black and navy closet. Black and navy pants.....and a few tops to go with each. Also some jeans and big sloppy shirts. I just bought some size 18-20 pants....and guess what color I bought????? BLACK!!!!!!!!! THis is going to take a while, I think. LOL! But I LOVE bright colors like bright pink and turquoise and they look good with my coloring so I'm excited to soon be wearing those again. I haven't tucked any shirts in for years and I still think it will be a LONG time before I do that. I love jeans but I have high hopes that as I loose weight I will enjoy dressing up more....and that I will find some clothes I really like. I'm so tired (REALLY!) of black and navy even though I just bought the black pants!! Jenni
