I need some new ideas!
I really like the imatation crab legs. I unroll them and put some laughing cow cheese in there. Yummy! I also like peproni chips (cook peproni in the microwave until crispy). The Ostrim jerkey is good too although I would like it better if it was more spicy. I also like fish cooked with lots of lemon.
Also Rhonda you could go an check out the cooking board there is TON of high protein things on there.
I will post the link for you if ya like.

I start each morning w a cup of coffee mixed w DESIGNER WHEY Mocha protien mix and a spash of vanilla SF syrup. 23g Protien and soooo good!
I dislike refried beans, but others like them and they are good protien. And there is the old standby, cottage cheese. I like it w/tomato. Maybe you could add some strawberries or canned peaches/pears.
Nuts are high in fat, but I will eat 1/2oz of peanuts every now and then. And my favorite-Mozzarella Cheese sticks. They are the perfect size and make a quick snack.~Kimberly
Hello,
Have you tried beef yet? I don't know when your doctor recommends it. I have been eating beef since about 2 months. I get the leanest stir fry beef strips and make a stir fry, I make rice for the family to go with, but I don't eat that. Toss in some low carb veggies, just make sure you eat your protein first. Boca Burgers are also a good source! They are a soy/veggie burger, but the best on the market and great for your protein. Tonight I am making boneless pork chops (actually taste more like ham) Mmmmm! I also make great northern beans ("Bush's" brand in a can) and mix in ham chunks in it. I just eat more of the ham than the beans, but you get that great flavor and the wholw family loves it. I pretty much cook mostly for the family and eat the parts that I can have to get in my protein, keep my carbs low (no more than about 20-30 grams per day as suggested by my dietitian) stuff that has no sugar and low in fat. Track everything that you eat on www.fitday.com and you should do great! I can eat nearly anything now, I just make sure that I watch what I eat. Oh also, BEEF JERKY!!! 1 gram of fat, NO carbs and HIGH in protein (15 grams) per ounce! Great source of protein and yummy too! Go through the meat isles at the market and stock up on what looks good to you then cook it for the family! Aslo, they have loads of very lean low fat lunch meats that are a good choice for us! Some of the hams and turkeys are terrific! The deli sliced ones are usually the best!
I now have veggies and fruits (in moderation) and I feel so much more healthy and energetic that I did when I did nothing but meat. Just remember to keep your protein high (20+ grams per meal) and then so you don't feel SO deprived put a couple of spoonfuls of a low starch veggie on your plate too. Made a HUGE difference in how I felt and how I felt about my diet! Again, www.fitday.com....log in everything and it will tell you if you get in your protein, carbs, fat and calories per day. I average about 600 calories per day and feel like I eat pretty much whatever I want! Good luck! Tracy

Hey Rhonda,
DON'T dispair!
I do several of the same things others have posted but here are few ideas to get your creative juices flowing!
I make chili and I add a pouch of BOCA BURGER "ground beef" to bulk it up with SOY protein. They are such tiny pcs of meat so no problems with sticking!
I buy the FROZEN uncooked shrimp--the grey colored ones. I think they taste sooo much better if left uncooked. They defrost in cold water in a few minutes and then you boil them for about 2 1/2 minutes and immediately take out when pretty and pink and submerge in a bowl of ice. Let it chill for a minute then start eating! Try to get deveined/easy to peel shrimp--worth an extra buck or two TRUST me! I season the water with OLD BAY. LOVE that stuff but it can be quite spicy/hot!
Coctail Sauce has a bit of sugar in it. BUT I just measure out what I know I can comfortably handle and make sure it makes thru my meal!
I do 3 oz of shrimp and it is 22 grams of protein.
AND just a trace of fat....if you must you can melt butter but I have been happy without it! JUST dredge mine in extra Old Bay!
I have light yogurt for breakfast every morning M-F. Weekends I tend to have more variety like one of those new LEAN POCKETS breakfast things. A serving is 2 but I can eat almost all of 1 and feel satisfied. Meat and cheese and low fat. Not sure how high the carbs are but I don't get tons of them so I don't really worry too much.
WITH pork or beef if you are concerned about getting it down easily--use a tenderizer/meat pounder with spikes and pound it out on your cutting board.
I made Veal Parmesean the other night and the veal was soo tender and almost melted in your mouth after I beat the heck out of it! mmmmm
I didn't do to well with a thick pork chop the other day...was too dry and chewy. Next time it is getting cut in have and tenderized. Oh well. Live and Learn.
TURKEY PEPPERONI from Hormel in the pouches next to the reg. kind is AWESOME. I make little sandwiches with a low carb cracker and some cheddar cheese. Good source of protein and low fat.
Low carb tortillas are good for chicken or beef. JUST slice very thin. Add salsa, sour cream and cheese....mmmm good!
hmmm can't think of anything else right now.
