I have a friend who is 1 year out and over 130 lbs down.. I was thinking of throwing her an "I lost It" shower.. Invite a few friends over and ask them to help "reclothe" our friend.. My question is do you think this is tacky? asking people over for a party (of course food, favors and games will be included) but asking them to buy her an article of clothing ? Please be honest I can take it if you all think it's not a good idea.. Thanks for your help Elaine

Elaine, I think that is a BRILLIANT idea!!! What a fun thing to do! I doubt anyone would do that for me...but I guarantee next Xmas/Bday will be nothing but clothing gift certificates for me. Let us know how it goes! What kind of game ideas have you come up with?

Good morning Elaine! I think that's a great idea! Knowing how expensive clothes are now adays what a great way to start out with a new smaller sized wardrobe! Have great day! Babs -87 lbs.

Maybe you could all get together and buy one really nice outfit and some underwear to go with it That would keep the cost down. Jackie

Hello, Love the idea. I personally am kinna hard to buy for...maybe they can give gift certificates to clothing stores rather than articles of clothing?! Or everyone chip in for ONE LARGE gift certificate to her favorite store. Just an idea. Tracy

I think that is a great idea! I would suggest you only invite her REALLY good friends and maybe some family? I think that would be an awesome thing to! You are really sweet to think of it! Vivian -78

I think that is just the sweeetest thing . Go for it Elaine. Just make sure your guest dont go home empty handed make them a goodie/gift bag to take home. that way they will feel good about giving cause they got something back.
