Hello all!! Can you all believe its been 3 months!?!?! Well, ive been putting it off and finally did it today, i cleaned out my closet! Ive been buying only a pair of jeans here and there or new shirts. But now my clothes look ridiculous on me! So i put all my stuff into 4 big bags. My closet is so bare. I love the fact that i dont fit into that stuff anymore, but i loved a lot of those clothes. Anyone else do this yet??

During the month I was home recuperating...I had an organization lady come and clean out my closets....or let's just say my extra bedroom...since I used the Queen Bed as my closet! clothes all laid out in piles...pants, shirts, socks etc.... I took my MINI VAN full of clothes, shoes etc....things that I kept holding onto thinking I would lose the weight...but now they are so out of style I don't care if I do fit into them ever again I wouldn't be caught dead in them! I kept the basics, tops and jeans/pants so I could get by for work. Hopefully by the time I get down to the bottom of the 14/16's I will not be working my desk job anymore and be at the hospital in SCRUBS! They are 30 bucks a pair and I don't have to worry about matching anything! THEN I can start buying things I want to wear and not stuff I need for work. Business Casual sucks! I can't wait to buy ALL casual and few dressy things for weddings/parties Everything is sorted out by size and grouped together! SO I know that right now I can wear stuff on the LEFT side of the closet...when that is too big...I take it out and bag it up and take it to Goodwill....move to the right side...then my trunk....then hopefully NEW CLOTHES

I did the exact same thing last weekend & on Monday called a friend who could wear them herself. It was so liberating to see them go. I saved many sweaters that may be a bit large but I can't bear to let them go. It's still cold here so I wear them at home & wear the new smaller stuff at work. I had the most marvelous thing happen to me when I was shopping for new clothes. I have ben losing all along but it really wasn't until this last month that I could really see it. I stopped at plus sized store in a nearby town. They were having their end of the season sale. I was looking through the racks, getting a bit perturbed because they had very few items my size. Now in the past I had the same problem but it was because they had few 4X clothes left. This time it was 1X that was sold out. They had scads of 2X & 3X. The sales lady was about half way to the back of the store & she called up to me if she could help me. I replied that I saw lots of pretty things but they weren't in my size. This dear sweet lady said, "Well, you are aware this is a plus sized store, aren't you? Maybe you could find things in your size at Micks." Mick's is the other ladies store in town, one that carries only "normal" sizes. I almost ran up to her & kissed her! Granted she could only see me from the waist up & that is where I am smallest but it sure made me feel good. I explained to her what has been going on in my life & she was very interested in my health, etc. We both agreed that it wouldn't be long & I would be shopping in Micks but for now I would search for her 1X's. This never would have happend if it weren't for my surgery. I am so glad I did it. Dixie

I cleaned my closet out last week too....am getting ready for a huge garage sale. Money has been a bit tight since surgery so am hoping to use some of the income from the sale to pay some bills. I've gone from a 26/28 to a 20. I had some 20's in my closet which of course are YEARS old but I'm wearing them (and some big 22's) just to get through. Tomorrow I'm going to Topeka for my 3 month check up and hoping to go to some consignment shops and find some other clothes to get me by. We don't have anything like that in this small town. I had about 3 blouses that I really hated to see go but I just know I'm going to be replacing them later with REALLY CUTE stuff so I'm OK with it! One of the many adjustments we have to deal with! Isn't it wonderful? I've cleaned my closet twice. A few things that I really love I'm holding and when I reach a stable weight will hopefully get them altered. I'm down from a 20 to a size 10 in 3 months. I'm shopping the sales at Marshall's and Ross hoping not to spend too much. Fortunately in Miami the weather is stable enough that I won't be making huge seasonal clothing purchases.

Hello, I am like the previous post-er. Money around my house is ALWAYS tight. So, I listed a bunch of my clothes on Ebay tonight! Only my good stuff, nothing with wear, loads of shorts and skorts. Everyday worn stuff will go to Goodwill. Maybe If they sell well, I can get something that fits! WOO HOO! I am in a 20 now (wearing my size 18 bathing suit) ~Stretchy~ So, all of my 22, 24, 26 and 28s have to go. My drawers and closet will be empty by the time I am finished weeding. I only put a few things up tonight, but I have a TON more, just a matter of getting the pictures taken and such. If anyone is interested... I am on ebay under seller name Thirdstreetauctions. Don't ya just love having to get rid of clothes because of getting too small for them instead of too big this time?!!! Tracy

Four big bags ... try 5 large moving boxes. Guess I was a "clothes hound" even at size 32. My closet is BARE!!! I have been hitting the thrift and consignment shops and actually bought a pair of like new jeans for $3.10. Can't wait to lose more and get into the more choices section. Keep up the Great Work!
