Q.O.D. 3/22
My doctor's office has 2 support groups a month and I just attended my first one last week. I really liked it and hope to be able to continue attending. My hubby is deployed so I think I can only make it to one meeting a month but that is better than nothing. I also have a group that meets here at Fort Hood but again it is in the evening and I have the boys by myself so I have only been to 2 of those. I have another website group I submit to that is for military dependents or retirees. You guys I check in with everyday and I love all the support you give. My doctor's aftercare program is excellent. We have scheduled appts but you can make one within a couple of days if you need something sooner (I'm sure sooner for an emergency). They have a nutrionalist and everything available for help!

we have a group that meets twice a month. it's called the "staple club" there are about 120+ regulars/ others. It would be nice if my surgeon would attend occasional meetings. however they are suppervised by our dietians. and many times we have old post ops speaking, and sometimes (for older post-ops) they have a plastic surgeon come and speak. i hope everyone is well.

Well Jackie the weather here is finally getting nice, but that is the price I get for living way up in Northern Wisconsin still 3 feet of snow on the ground. lol.
Yes I belong to a support group in Yahoo besides this site.
No I havent attended live meetings yet because I have to drive 1 hour both ways to reach them and right now my back will not allow me to drive that far.
My surgerons after care program is well I guess ok, I know I can call him whenever I need and my nurtionist is on call 24 hours a day I even have her home number.
Yes I would like to find more support from other WLS's its hard to fight this illiness (I call it an illiness because its just like any other hard to deal with at times). More information about weight issues would be great and more recipies of food we can make and eat that keeps our weight off.
