Q.O.D..Day 16
My biggest struggle was finding a protein source that didn't make me vomit all the time. After consulting with an allergist & finding out I was not allergic to milk & whey products but just very sensitive to them, I decided to give soy a try & getting in my protein since then has been a snap. Flavored soy milk actually tastes good!
Emotionally I guess I still regret that I will never eat some of my favorites again & that even some things that I can eat no longer taste good to me.
One change I have noticed is that I no longer run when a camera comes out.
Dixie
down 81 lbs
My biggest struggle so far has been IMPATIENCE with the scale. I seem to be one of those unfortunates who lose a little for a couple of weeks, and then go into plateau for another couple of weeks, and I am BUSTING my BUTT here!
My surgery date was 12/31/03, and I've lost 50 pounds. I know that may sound good, but I lost the first 20 in the first 2 weeks, and the second 30 in the last 2 MONTHS! I have a goal of 100 pounds by June 8th, (my son's birthday) and I believe it's doable, but every pound seems to be like pulling teeth!
I work out at Curves 45 minutes, 4 times a week, walk on the other days, get my protein in, avoid carbs, work hard on the water, take my vitamins, I mean, jeez! What else can I do to get that scale to move? Any good tips or ideas out there, December people? I'm all ears!
