Hello All, I have a nagging pain on my left side, that want go away. I take tyenol and it seems to help. I was wondering if anyone else had a pain on the left side. I went to see the surgery, and he say I am fine. Another question, what is the normal BM schedule? I was consipated last week, I took some a laxative and it worked on Friday morning, but I have have one since, should I be worry? How often should you have a BM? I have put a call in to the surgeon again about the pain, and I have made a appointment with my internal medince DR. Fogot to tell you that I have my WLS on 12/2/03. 382/315/ goal is 180

Depending on what I eat seems to determine when I have a BM. When I first starting eating fresh fruits and vegtables it was about 3 days till I had a BM. I did have some left side pain, I believe its all bowel related. Drink lots of water and try even some watered down apple juice to get things moving. Good Luck! Karie -60

I think part of this pain may be from constipation, because my husband had surgery on 12-15 and for two to three weeks afterward he had that nagging pain but now is pretty much pain free. How much are you eating? Does the pain go away after a BM? It might be a good thing to ask you Surgon if a laxitive schedule is an option, say once a wee****il this thing clears up.
