My surgeon has not been very helpful on what kind and what dose of vitamins I should be taking. I know I should be feeling great by now with a 58 pound weight loss but, I feel tired and rundown. Can you guys help me? Thanks a million! Mindy

Hi Mindy! Here is my surgeons protocol. I take 2 flintstones chewables, 1 sublingual B-12 500mcg and chewable calcium 1000mg daily. I just had my 3 month post-op and my labs all looked great! I understand that the B-12 has a lot to do with energy levels. Are you takeing B-12, now? Have you had labs done yet? Hope this info helps and you are feeling perky soon!~Kimberly 245/181/140??

My doctor gave me prenatal vitamins. I take 1 day before bedtime-otherwise I forget in the morning. I dont see my surgeon again until 6 month follow up which will be June. I also have never had any labs done since surgery and I feel great on a engery level. Good luck- Karie -59

I have to take a multivitamin, Vit C, B12, iron, & calcium and will for the rest of my life. I no longer take the chewable forms and don't have to crush or cut upmy pills anymore. In addition he has us take for 6 months Motrin (or generic) & Actigall. The Actigall is to prevent gallstone formation. Dixie

Hi Mindy! My doctor has me taking 2000mg a wk of B12, iron pills each day, a multivitamin and a calcium pill everyday also. I just started taking the iron pills b/c I was just a little bit anemic. I don't take any chewable vitamins anymore either...thank goodness. ~Rachel
