hello, i am new to this group and site to. I had my surgery dec 30, 2003 I am 9 weeks and almost 60 pounds down. I am having a hard time with eating still. i throw up alot. but i know this will pass. it is so worth it.. any one else had there surgery on the sam day? i would love to hear how you are doing. i would love to hear everyones story on how there doing please. i love to see pics of before and after if anyone has to share i am working on mine. i started out at 291 and now 230lbs. just 70 more pounds for my goal weight.. ok i will talk to everyone soon. any yahoo people i love to chat noratrulock

Hi Nora, I'm michelle. I had the same problem with throwing up too. I thought it would pass, it did not. It ended up that I had a stricture. You should go talk to your surgeon just to be safe. Anyway, I just posted my 3 month pics the other day. my site link is right below. Congrats on your success! Michelle

it is not stricture it is my stomach not liking the food. sometimes when i eat something it is fine and other times it doesn't aggree. thank you though for letting me know. nora

Hi Nora, I also have a touchy tummy. My surgery was 2 weeks before yours. Just this week I realized I hadn't vomited in almost 2 weeks now! Yeah! My tummy is starting to accept meat, in very small quanities. I find that I really have to chew, chew, chew, more than I had been. Then I am fine. If I get in a hurry & don't chew as well, it starts hurting again. Give it time. It will probably come around. If not, bug your surgeon to find out why you are having trouble. Dixie
