Plateaus and slow loss
Hello my fellow Decemberites,
I heard that a true plateau has to last more than 2 or 3 months. I found a lot of interesting information on a site from a fellow WLS-er. www.thinnerself.com. He has body calculators and other cool stuff to see. There is a calculator to figure out how much weight that you will lose after surgery. If you want to see how you are going to look at different weights, go to www.myvirtualmodel.com and you can make a virtual YOU and size her up and down for comparison. Kinna fun, I've been doing it for about 2 years!
Unfortunately, we as women, have to contend with our time of the month, period, visitor, Aunt Flow, whatever you want to call it...That can make our loss slow and we can even gain during that time and or just before. I went from 201.8 to 203.4 during mine. Even afterwards, I'm still fighting the extra weight gain. This month I am going to keep better track and see how much I gain and how long it takes to get back to where I was afterwards so that I can be prepared next month.
Even a 2 pound gain can be SO disheartening! But all we can do is try to keep our chins up and move on! I find that tracking everything that I eat on www.fitday.com helps me keep track and know that I am doing what I should be doing! Enjoy the sites! Tracy
Tracy,
I love fitday.com It really helps me to keep on track. Thanks Lisa G for encouraging me to do that. I have to tell you, if I have a plateau that lasts more than two or three months I might end up in the insane hospital ....they would have to carry me there on my scale, cause my feet would me attached to it from jumping up and down on it so often
I am off now to check out the other websites Thanks, Tracy for all the good information
