Hi Rosa,
I am a slow loser too (12/9/03 -44). It is so hard to be a slow loser and hear everyone tell of the huge amounts they have lost. But I have to believe that as long as we are doing the right things we will be just fine (slow and steady). I dont have any suggestions, but wanted you to know you are not alone. I have news for anyone that thinks WLS is the easy way out... it is NOT. I do not regret it for a minute, but am disppointed at the slow progress.
Rosa,
GREAT WEIGHT LOSS! Advice on losing faster, it is all speculation. Some of us will just lose faster than others. But what you can try is up your water intake to MORE than 64 ounces per day and try upping your protein intake. Even though you may get 60 grams of protein in per day does not mean that we absorb it all, sometimes the body will respond better if we have more protein to fuel it. Your body NEEDS the protein. I have heard that we cannot absorb more than 30 grams per meal so I don't think eating 50 grams in one sitting will benefit up. But do try to up the water and protein. Worked for me when I was plateauing! Also, if you eat carbs try and keep them no more than 20-30 grams per day (recommended by my dietician). One more thing...If you are working out so much, you may be gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat. Measure yourself when you come to a stand still on the scale. Keep up the good work!
