Biotin?

Hi all...I am 8 weeks out and down 34.5 lbs. I am concerned about taking something to help with the shedding hair. I heard something about Biotin. Anyone ever use it? Where can I get it? Thanks for any info! Crystal

hi crystal. there has been alot of talk at out support group about biotin. the general concensus is that it does not work. our dietician says that hair is on a three month cycle. like you start loosing your hair at 3 months, and it starts growing back at six. the exact thing happened to my sister. she's 10 months and all of her hair has grown back. the amount of hair you loose will be minor, i've only heard in extreme cases where the hair lose is severe. good luck.
