Hi Vivian I love this post and have enjoyed reading all the responses. I had my surgery on 12.29.03, last week on my 6th week out i was down 40lbs! I have been surprised at so many things! I'm surprised how easy this has been, including the surgery itself. I'm surprised at how good I feel. I'm surprised at NOT being hungry like yourself and the others! I'm surprised and amused at how little I can eat! Last week I was surprised when I was able to put on a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear for 5 years!!!!!!!!! It's better than Christmas!! Life is good! Cyndy Lap RNY -40

My RNY was on December 2, 2003, and as of last week, I had lost 57 lbs. My next weigh-in is tomorrow! I actually look forward to the scale now. Life is good! Stacey Eisenlohr, Galloway , NJ

I had LapRNY on 12/23/03 and have lost -55 as of 2/23. I am nauseous alot lately...decaf Green Tea helps. Difficult time getting all of the chewable vitamins down, liquids, and food... I can move much better now, and feel much better (other than the nausea!). I do supplement with IsoPure Zero Carb shakes...it's the ONLY way to get at least 70 gr. of protein in per day! Life is getting BETTER!! AnnOnSaipan

Hi All, Congrats to all on achieving permanent weight loss. I've lost 36 pounds so far. I am 8 weeks out today. My clothes get baggier everytime I put them on. I now have a good amount of energy. I'm taking B complex, biotin and calcium with Vit D, magnesium. I can run up the stairs at work and be able to breathe normally. When I pass a mirror , I like what I see. And I smile because it ain't over yet. Collette

I would like to add my 52.5 pounds worth! I now have (officially) LESS than 100 pounds to lose!!!!! I have not had one, single, solitary problem at ALL! I can eat almost anything - although I don't eat salads or red meats yet, and definitely NO sugar! I walk up to 4 miles per day, and since I finally got sick of drinking water, I found this wonderful product called "Fruit2O" - drinking water with flavor - and ZERO calories, mildly sweetened witrh Splenda. I love it! That, along with the sugar free popsicles, helps get me through the day I work for a doctor, and everyone is very supportive, filling in for me when I go for my walks. I go once in the AM, once at noon, and once in the afternoon, for a total of about 3 miles while at work. I never would have thought I would be walking 4 feet a day, much less four miles. All I can say is, thank you, Dr. Irani! Thank you thank you thank you!

I had my surgery Dec 8th 2003, and held at 68 pounds for a week, then today I slipped down another pound to 69 pounds. I am hoping to hit 100 by Easter. Do you think I can do it? Sandra
