Intestinal Infection

My surgery date was 12/17/03 and I did great through the first 3 weeks. Then during the 4th week I ate something that just didn't sit quit right. By the end of my 5th week I was in the ER and was readmitted to the hospital for an entire week; my intestines had shut down compleatly due to an infection. Five days of intravienus fluids and antibiotics cleared up the infection and started my bowells again. I feel sort of OK now but my lower intestines are VERY sore. Has anyone else experienced this happening?
