I'm not getting full
I am four weeks out today and I can seem to eat anything and I don't get full. I wonder if the doc really did anything to me or just poke a few holes in my belly. Does anyone else feel this way? This week I got to add salad, fish and chicken, no meat yet, but nothing along the way has bothered me at all. I read about people eating so little and I feel like I can eat so much. I try to restrict it but wish I felt more from my new tummy. I have lost 20 lbs. but 19 of it the first 3 weeks and just 1 this last week. I'm scared this isn't going to work for me...I'm not suffering enough! Bev
SAME HERE!!!!!!!!!!
I mean, I was so scared that I'd be throwing up all the time, I guess I'm glad that's not happening. In fact, I sometimes feel like I couldn't throw up if I tried.
Are you eating ANY less than before?
One thing I read the other day made me feel a bit better. They said that foods high in fat or sugar will not make you feel full. I think it's been a little better now that I'm trying to put low-fat, high-protein foods FIRST in my meals. I'm just gradually learning which foods make me feel full, and go for those. I am drinking Trader Joe's Whey Protein (Chocolate) with 2% milk, and for whatever reason, that makes me feel more full.
The most frustrating thing for me has been that even if I feel sort of full, I'm always hungry 2 hours later. I too wonder...did they really do this surgery? So, I'm going to ask my doc if it's ok if I eat 5 times a day instead of 3. It's just not enough food for me.
Keep in touch, let me know if it gets any better and if you find anything that works! -Isabel
Wow. I am surprised that you are only eating three meals a day. I am eating 6 times a day and have lost quite a bit. I make sure I measure and have no more than 4 oz of food. It isn't much but it does fill me up. I make sure that most of my meal is protein. Next week I will be on my meal plan for life. If there is anything that I can do to help you, do not hesitate to ask! Take care! Cathy
