Slurpee question

In Texas, we have 7-11 stores that have what we call a slurpee. It is basically frozen ice with a cola or other type of drink flavor added. My question is this...........they now have a sugar-free pepsi slurpee. I was wondering if anyone had tried this and had any feedback? I stay away from carbonated drinks per my surgeon but, wondered if this frozen variation would be ok? Please let me know what you think. Thanks and God Bless! (-32 lbs. so far!)

Mindy my dear, I so miss slurpee's from when I was a kid! I would think the problem with a sf pepsi slurpee is that it unfortunately is cafinated which my doctor says is a huge . Your own doctor my be more giving in that area so don't be afraid to call and ask. If you get approved will you take a great big freezing cold mouth full for me? Ironically my doctor did say I can have sf pop if it is not cafinated at 7 weeks but I am a big chicken. Congrats on the wonderful 32 lbs loss! WAY TO GO and God bless! PS If you are in search of a email buddy mail me! Take care. Shell Lap RNY 12/5/03 308/259....150 in my dreams!

Hi Mindy, I have had a couple diet pepsi slurpees. I like them, but have just have had a couple now and then as a treat. I do not have a restriction on caffiene, just the carbonation. There is no carbonation in the slurpees. It was fine for me, but call your doc if you are unsure. Cheryl
