I've experienced private summers all my life. I couldn't keep a hairstyle because I would sweat it out by the time I got to work I wore braids for several years then I graduated to just a ponytail. After surgery I've been experiencing the chills At first I thought I had a fever because I'd be sooooo cold. I have to put a heating pad on my feet to keep warm at night when before I'd keep my feet from under the covers because I was trying to stay cool. I'm thinking of buying an electric blanket. This is actually a pleasure and I enjoy not sweating all the time especially in the mornings and when arriving at work

This is funny because not 20 minutes ago a friend of mine (who is pre op) and I were discussing this very thing. Monday night we were coming out of support group and it was snowing. She had on only a sweater and I had a winter coat on for the first time in years! I used to go out even in this sub zero weather in Massachusetts that we've been having in a t shirt and sweater...now I have a coat and gloves! And I am still cold! How wonderful! I used to joke about having my own insulation but I am glad to be getting rid of it. It's a great feeling and I am happy you're able to feel it, too! Wendy

OMG me too! (lol, doesn't he look cold?) Even here in FL, I'm sleeping in layers & with 2-3 blankets. I usually am a no pj person (I know TMI). My hubby says "hey, now that there is less of you, how come I see less of you?) Dawn

I am the same way. I was always hot and always sweating. For the first three weeks after surgery I was either burning up or freezing, now I am just cold all the time!

So that is my problem. For the first time since gradeschool, I bought a hat, mittens, and a scarf...and have even resorted to wearing boots..I live in the Upper Peninsula..it gets really cold here.. and I guess now I'm feeling it!!

Hi La Vada, I am cold about 90 percent of the time. I wear 2 pairs of socks and my hands are always cold and nose. I ask my Dr. why this happens its because of blood levels are low, so now I have to get my blood work done. He also said that soon you will stable out.
