Burning feeling in the stomach area......
I'm 18 days out. I get pain in my chest area if I eat or drink too fast. Could it be acid? Are you doing a lot of juices? Maybe that's irritating your stomach. My doc puts you on Nexium for the first couple of months to prevent ulcers early on. Are you taking anything like that? Maybe it would help. Or perhaps Tums would be soothing, plus the added benefit of calcium.
Hope you feel better!

It is not uncommon to develope a "burning" sensation in the throat and stomach after this procedure (assuming you had the RNY). They have to place different tubes down your throat during the procedure that severly can irritate the tissue. I agree on the antacid to make sure that it is not reflux of any kind but make sure to call your surgon to get suggesions on weither or not he wants you on Tums or on Pepsid. Hope all goes well and remember, this too shall pass!

hi i am 1 month post-op and i have that tinging burning feeling in my stomach too. it is common. but you should ask your doctor. i did, and he said it was where your body is in shock and your stomach is getting used to not taking in food. he also told me it could do it for up to 6 months to a year, it just varies with each person. my cousin had this surgery 2 years ago and she said that she gets that burning pain just every once in a while, but her left side was somewhat numb. just tell your doc and he will know. God Bless You.
