12/18/2003 and counting
I am a 64 year soon to be "new woman". Reading an article on Sharon Osbourne in People after she had this surgery quickened my resolve to go ahead with this operation. I have been playing with the scale, foods, and programs for as long as I can remember, and failed at all. Many have said, "all anyone has to do, is follow the diet that is demanded of us post-surgery, and anyone can lose the weight." Yes, that is true, but I would like to meet that person who has the resolve to do that, and not be forced to.
I am going to change my birthdate from October to December 18th, as that is the date I will be reborn.
G-d speed all of those who will have the surgery after me, and a quick and uneventful recovery to those who have gone before me.

Hey, Judi, Best of luck and keep posting. I'm scheduled for 1/16 and excited. Wi**** was now like yours. Only a few days now. You are doing the right thing. Just keep the faith. I will count the 16th as my second birthday. I was a Valentines day baby and kind of like that day. Are you having RNY or lap band? I chose the RNY cause I don't want to take the chance of stretching that little pouch out.. afterall I stretched my stomach out pretty well.
Let us know how you feel. Do you have plenty of support from family and friends? Plenty of people to stay with you? I live in Galveston so there is no chance that I can come and visit. But my prayers will be with you Jan
