Surgery on December 15
I'm scheduled for surgery on Monday, today is Saturday. As far as the surgery itself, everything is going well. It is everything else that seems to be in really bad shape. My daughter has a really bad leg infection and we have had to go to the doctor to drain it every day this last week and she has had 6 shots and is on two other antibiotics and the test to see if it is a staff infection still hasn't come back so probably she won't get to see me in the hospital until they know for sure because I sure can't be exposed to staff! I also was told that if it is staff that my whole house would have to be cleaned from top to bottom with bleach. And on top of that I tried to get my daughter a hardship drivers' license to help things since I'm a single mom and they turned us down! So that means that I'm going to have to get a bunch of people to help me with her and I am just so stressed out right now. I lost it a while ago and cried like I haven't cried in years. I just needed to get it off my chest because I can't go into surgery stressed out like that. This is supposed to be an exciting time for me and right now I'm not doing great.
Lisa,
I sure would be doing some heavy praying if I were in your shoes. I will be doing my part by praying for you but no one can do it better than you. Try to get yoiur room and your bathroom all done up...cleaned like there is no tomorrow and put your things where you can get to them for when you return from the hospital. I have my surgery done on the 16th so I do understand all the little things that can get crazy. My 16 year old is having a rough go of things at the moment as well. She has been sick since Thanksgiving week and it goes on and on. But I do pray and ask God to handle all that he can and the things that he wishes for me to handle to let me know so that i can pray and ask for help on that as well. So hang in there and I know these words can not help you solve your problems but I am praying that you get some peace knowing that someone is thinking but most of all praying for you.

Lisa, you certainly have a full plate. I wish you the best and hope for everyones sake that your daughter doesn't have staff. As for having to let friends - strangers - whoever help get you through this... just do it! All that you need to focus on is getting to the other side of the surgery and getting well, starting your new life and being healthy. Call a church group or the YMCA, surely somebody volunteers to help people in your situation. Don't let anything stand in your way, you are too close! God Bless You and Your Daughter. Lisa, You are doing great. So, you lost it. So time we need to cry to get things off your chest. Just put thing is other people hand and in your high powers. It's time like this that we need each other. I truly understand what you are going thou. I have one child that was very sick for over 5 yearswith a brain tumor, a husband that is sick, my mother who is 77, and thank God I have a son that is in health. Please try to take thing slow. You need to be in the right frame of mind to have this surgrey. You will do great. When you are 100% you will help all of the great people that help you thoug this. I will keep you and your daugter in my prayers.

Hey, thanks for the reply to my post. It's been a while since I was able to get back on. My surgery went really bad and I almost lost my life twice!. My kidneys shut down and I was on a respirator for 3 days and in intensive care for a week and the hospital for a month and I am just now getting back to work!
But thanks for the words of encouragment. God is so good and I know that I'm on the road to recovery.
