Dec. 1, 2003 The Frist Day Of The Rest Of My Life

Well we are on the count down , we are on the rode others have gone before . God is good I feel so blessed to be one of the ones getting ready to cross over .No way in all my wildest dreams did I think this could or would ever happen for me. I'm on disablity and I have not worked since (98), I didn't even know until Jan. this year that VA even offered this surgery , but here I'm getting ready to make a trip to Dallas to change my life forever for the GOOD! I know there are good and bad with all things , but God is making this walk with me and with so many others. I'm looking forward to not starting my day with seventeen pills , or feeling like I'm about to die just from walking up stairs. I'm not looking for life to take on a big change I'm just looking forward to feeling better about who I'am. And for all of you going in on the same day as I , I pray that God will be there watching over the people and us who will be making this happen. God Bless.

Hi La Vada Congratulations on your surgery date. We share the same one! I send you my prayers and best wishes for a safe and sucessful surgery and a speedy recovery. I am very excited to have the opportunity for this surgery too. It took a year and a half--my cobra will expire in February--almost didn't make it. I think it is great that this site allows us to communicate with others in the same boat--family and friends really don't understand the whole process.
