Dec. 5th and counting...

After 11 months of waiting, my day is almost here! I had to get months of counseling before they would do the surgery. They want to make sure you can handle the big change in your diet, plus I had childhood issues. Anyone else have Dec. 5th?? I wish everyone the best of luck that's having surgery soon. Hey Grace I am Shell and I have a Dec 5 date as well! 12 days and counting. I am just curious as far as the councilling for the surgery what did they tell you? It is a very huge undertaking and the safety blanket of food I have used my whole life is not going to be there. I have been making changes like writing whenI am upset etc but I wondered if they gave you any other helpful advice. I would love to hear from you. Counting down to the lighter side. Shell

Grace- My surgery is scheduled for December 4th at Methodist. I know you are probably getting as excited as I am. Strangely enough I'm not nervous. I wish you luck during your surgery and recovery. We will keep you in our prayers. Your Friend, Heidi

I just got my date today..... December 5th. My pre-op appt with the doctor is December 1st. We are kinda rushing it cause my insurance changes on January 1st. The more I think about it, the more nervous I get. I hate to say this, but I am going to eat very well this Thanksgiving. It will be my last Thanksgiving meal where I get to eat everything. I am looking so forward to it. Good Luck.
