Thank God I finally have a date!

I finally have a date of 12/16/03. It only took me 6 mos from June 18th to get this approved! For all of my friends that have been asking, wondering, and suffering through this long wait with me for my gastric bypass surgery I have news.... FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After months of battles with insurance, losing my claims, refiling everything, the EKG, the UPPER GI, the CHEST XRAY, the DIETICIAN, the LABS, and the dreaded PSYCH EVAL, paying cash for results, and putting off my entire life since June 18th, 2003... I finally have a date! My date of my surgery is to be 12/16/03. Yes one week before Christmas! I am looking at the glass of water. Now I can look at it half empty (ugggggg the week before Christmas I will feel like YUCK....) OR I can look at the glass half full ( MY LAST Thanksgiving stuffing, in more ways than one, MY chance to have a great 40th Birthday 12/07, and my last bout with the HOLIDAY cookies and goodies at work.....and then when EVERYONE else is starting their NEW YEARS RESOLUTION to lose weight I will be ONE step ahead of everyone else). Guess I will look at the glass half full. At least I can do my Christmas shopping, my cards, my wrapping, my decorating, and have the money to pay for it since I will still be working up until the holiday instead of earning 50% of my wages on my leave of absence...... So when you are thinking about it, lets say around December 16th, do not forget to say an extra prayer for me that all goes well and I will be able to come home before the Christmas celebrations begin. Thanks for all of my friends who have kept in touch with me and have bugged me about when I was going to have this done, and have helped me deal with my insurance problems and who are as excited as I am to finally have a date so I can settle down and have a normal day again. WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
