December 8th Ahh, Christmas shopping!? Baking???

Wow, this site has so much! I have been on the main messageboard and the Iowa messageboard, but didn't know that there was a Dec. surgery board. It is nice to see how many people have December surgeries. I will be looking to you all for support and will offer support when I can! Do you all have shopping done for Christmas? I got a head start in September, but still have some to finish. It is going to be hard not baking for Christmas. I usually make tons of homemade candies to give as Christmas gifts. What can I give this year instead? I won't be making something that I cannot eat! Here's to the countdown! Andrea

Andrea, Boy I am counting down the days I have a huge list of stuff to do before the 8th so hopefully time will fly..... I have to go to Sioux Falls to see the surgeon on Nov. 28th. I told my husband oh great that is the busiest shopping day before Christmas and I intend to do the shopping when I go for my appt. I thought that would make him want to stay home but he's going. So oh well I will have one of my last meals then either Timberlodge steak house or Red Lobster and I'll have the other one on the 2nd when I have my pre op appt. You know I have not wanted to eat everything in sight which suprises me but going out to eat is what I really want to do. Ann

Ann, I still have 5 appointments before the 8th. I see the dietician, physical therapist, nurse manager, psychologist and surgeon again all before the surgery. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Besides that, my dh just got put on second shift, so life is hectic now, more so than usual. Still counting down! Andrea P.S. Saturday the 15th is my b-day so hubby asked if I wanted to go out to dinner with him. Thinking Olive Garden or Red Lobster myself!
