Who would have thought....

I had an interview at a hospital this morning for a special new grad program....one of the available positions was on the Bariatric Med/Surg floor. Wouldn't that be something if I could get that position. luvitsunnyv

Sunny, How are you doing? You will be an excellent nurse and me being in nursing read over time your compassion and time and effort that you put into it. You would be a great nurse and blessed to get to work on the Bariatric Med/Surg floor. You could give your best from your experience. Your words of compassion would come from your mouth and especially from your "HEART" I am praying you will be working there. I have alot of obes and morbidly obese patients that come to my floor which is Med/Surg. If they talk about being obese,. Before I left for my foot surgery I chatted with a 19 years boy who was over 800 lbs. I hope the advice he asked for has helped him. He was on a respirator and could not breathe. If it was not for our special bed with a scale built in we would not know what he weighed.I do talk to them if they ask my advice. We don't do any Baratric Surgery where I work. Thank you Lorraine for your words of encouragement. I'm a little anxious about taking the RN NCLEX. Even though the State gives me until May, I have to take it before March because of the hospital program. Then,recently, someone has called me about school nursing ( no weekends and summer's off). I just pray that God will provide the direction that is best for me at this point in my life. I say this, knowing that my problems are small compared to what is going on in Central FLorida....the Lake County area. The tornado activity there was truly devastating.
