3 year anniversary on 12-3-06 Dr. Jawad Ocala Florida

I would like to hear from anyone that had surgery on or about 3 years ago with Dr. Jawad in Ocala. I have recently gained 6 lbs and I am facing the food demons. I have questions. I have been told no soda, nothing carbonated and never to eat and drink at the same time. I have always obeyed those two rules. I feel I am snacking too much - high fat cheese, crackers, and fruit. I know I must cut out the carbs now to lose the 6 lbs asap. I was warned against eating too many crackers!!! I need suport and friends at this juncture. All has gone well until now. Liz H. i can relate to your problems. I have reverted back to my old ways and need a good kick. Let's chat. Crackers, pretzals, dry foods, no protein ... my demons. Dr. Sooriash was my dr.

If I would only make myself prepare and drink my protein shake before I have my morning coffee. At Vitamin World I love Whey Gourmet called Arctic Cappacinno Frappe (sp). It does taste like a coffee frozen drink. My ARNP warned me about crackers. If I eat crackers or bread, I always choose whole grain. I have never had any soda for three years - always told that was a no no!!! I still don't eat or drink at the same time? Let me know about sodas and if you eat and drink close together?? I am suddenly up 6 lbs for the first time in three years and I'm scared. I know it is my fault because I have become lax in my protein routine. Protein always first, we know that. I think I can comfortably eat 2 cups of food. How about you? Is that normal? What do you know about the cottage cheese test to test the size of your pouch? Anything to all that? I would love to keep in touch and hear from you. I have had no RNY friends since my surgery, no support really. I have done so well and had no problems. Please write me again. Thanks so much. I just want to say....to you....6 lbs...I would not worry....10, worry....20 worry...40 (like me) WORRY...you are following the rules....apparently we are destined to gain back some of the weight, MOST OF us anyway....heck, I am about 220 and I just want to lose to my original goal of 200, I'd be OK there.
