2+years post op - still need to lose final 27 pounds HELP
Hello, anyone have any ideas how to lost this last 27 pounds. I stopped at 157 from 255 over a year ago and cannot jump start it again. I am exercizing by walking 1 hour a day and I just started tai bo basics. I dont want to build muscle though. I need to lose this weight. I am so tired of being fat. Last summer I was down to 150 and wearing size 13 pants now I cant get a 13 on. I am in a tight 14. I have been stacking up on protein. Here is a sample of my daily food intake? Please any suggestions?
Breakfast - 10:30 - 11:00 1 Sc egg with cheese, 4 sl bacon, corn beef (not hash) 2 oz. (This gives me about 30 g protein)
Lunch - 1:30 1 c minestrone soup
Dinner 5:00 1 c minestrone soup or steak/green beans
Snack 7:00 popcorn
I am drinking 64 oz water a day at least
I was drinking soda ALOT but cut down to less than a can a day.
I snack on hard candy
I am scheduled to meet witha plastic surgeon on June 13th for tummy tuck and liposuction on outer thighs. - would like to drop 10 pounds before then. HELP HELP HELP
I'm the last person to tell anyone, since I never lost my last 50 lbs, but due to my terrible health, I work with dr's galore, nutritionists and PT's and this is how I eat. Lean, low fat protien. 2,low fat, no sugar , protein shakes a day. Only whole wheat carbs and very very little of them. No sugar at all. Soup has a lot of sodium so you could be retainting fluid as does popcorn. Loose the bacon and corn beef and put in fresh fruit and a slice of low carb whole wheat bread. Lose the soups and eat fresh meats, salads galore. Snacks should be veggies or fresh fruit and never closer than 3 hours before bed. NO SODA. Even diet is bad for you. It makes you retain fluid and crave sugar. As I said, I work with about 6 different dr's due to my health, Physical Therepists and nutritionists. I eat 2 or 3 meals a day, with a tiny snack. I do, occasionally, have a treat of 2 sugar free Milano cookies, but not often. Hope that helps.

Rose, How are you. You seem to be doing ok with your diet. I am up 5 down 5 pounds but have been at my goal for about 2 years now. I really don't want to lose more. If I gain a few pounds I increase my water intake..I don't drink soda. I really never did. A sip here and there, but I heard it will stretch my pouch and I am so scared of doing that.
Keep the faith and just keep
You will be just fine. I hope I was help to you. I have been there and done that and don't have the answers, This WLS is sure hard work once the grace period is over huh?
Hi Nona, How are you doing girl?
Take care....Lorraine
Hi Lorraine,
I'm not doing too well yet. I tire very easily. I don't eat much, which is probably a good thing. I've very selective on my food choices. I have terrible pain all the time and chronic fatigue, fevers and sore throats. I know, in time, I will get better, but it is going to take a long time. Thanks for asking.

I have the same problem so probably won't be much help. I was down to 142 and as happy as a lark. Maybe too happy. I am up 15 lbs now and have been for the last 6 months or so. I am holding steady but my old habits are starting to creep back in. Coffee in the morning, with caffeine of course and a granola bar. I am left hungry and nervous so I believe I am hungry all of the time. Most protein I dont like or can't digest. I don't like eggs much and can't digest too much meat unless it is ground so it leaves me with carb cravings like crazy. Most of the time my diet consists of cucumber slices, watermelon slices and of course my fatal flaw, fritos. The fritos have to go and I will be watching for other healthy suggestions in response to yours while posting my own help wanted posting. Good luck
School work, even though it is online, is killing my exercise schedule. I'm still maintaining the same weight....and still below surgeon's goal. My eating is still good....no bread....no carbonated drinks. I know I don't get in all the water I should.
I miss my L O N G walks the most. I just "Feel" heavier.....
