I had surgery In Jan 04 for wls,I still come to Dec boards though because I like the feedback and its close enough! I lost to 133 pds from 245 BEFORE TT so I had a large hernia and it was repaired along w tummy tuck in August with hip to hip incision.I was so scared but it ended up being much better then I thought,The pain was very very manageable if you take your pain meds you should be FINE.After my tt I went down sizes ,lost 9 pds,lost my stretch marks ,loose skin ,fixed my hernia and got a cute new belly button which is numb now so I plan on getting it pierced!The tt was sooooooooooo worth it!Do you have hernia or just need skin removal?I think this could make a difference as I was in the hospital for about 2 and a half days as opposed to a plastic surgery office,make sure you know what pain meds work for you and let your surgeon know your concerns about pain.Get help at home,buy groceries and pay bills in advance,have someone to run errands for you,meds,dr visits ,etc.No lifting for at least a month nd nothing over like 15 pds for about 3 mths,also i wouldnt recommend ab exercises or heavy aeorbics,also wear your binder every night drink fluids and light walking to get off water retention.I recommend for faster healing alot of protein and dont skip your vitamins from now until at least a month postop of skin removal.It helps w healing.If your back hurts after tt u can lay on pillows elevate and use a heating pad.Im five weeks out now,still have some mild swelling I am now back to normal I just have tight feeling in my tummy area but thats great.I can wear a bikini and not be embarrased from skin Its SO WORTH IT!

Terri-- You sound like me-- Carbs are easily digested by me. Meats and pastas still make me sick, and vegetables give me diarrhea. I had mine on 12-20-02 and I am also down 150 pounds, haven't lost anyweight since 12-03. Still need to lose about 30 pounds more. I feel like I am out of control again and can't stop. Did you find any suggestions yet? I am gaining and losing the same 4-6 pounds from week to week.

i will like to talk to someone who already had the tummy surgery the extra skin taken out from your belly or stomach i'm going to have my surgery soon in october and i need support do you have before and after pictures?? can you e-mail me thank you and let me know how was the surgery how long was the recuperation all details pleaseeeee!!!

I'm so sorry you are experiencing this unknown pain, when you should be enjoying your wl journey. I can't figure out some doctors. they move like a snail, and think like a grasshopper. LOL I once (Before wls. was in so much pain and they couldn't find out what was wrong. after many test. believe me it was a nightmare. and it drains you so much. I tell you one thing, if ever I have pain like that again and it goes on and on each day. I will go to the ER and just plant myself right there, crying and moaning all the while. then see if they kick me out. I knew it was something wrong, but cause they didn't find answers they kept me coming back and forth. If there is ever a next time. I'm going to do what I mention. It still ticks me off that I had to suffer for days because of this doctor. Oh well hon, I sure hope you find out what's the problem. Hang in there **Hugs**

Congratulations on reaching your goal wt and having your ps done. I am still working on the last part of my journey. I have about 50 or so more lbs to lose. plus I have a ps date for 10/19th if it's Gods will. I have loss 210 lbs so far. My wls was 12/6/02. it was the best thing I could of done for myself. I also can eat anything and now at the end of my journey I have experienced that if I take my eyes off my wl journey, then I will lose focus and slowly gain wt. Now that I see how easy it is to do. I am that much more determined to win this war. God Bless your sister also. she is blessed to have a sister who can understand and give much needed support. Also for gas, I have no idea. I noticed for me, It's worse when ever I eat something I shouldn't had, Bad me. LOL. I do know that walking helps a lot. just don't take a partner or walk pass anyone. LOL hang in there
