Hi there everyone, I also am 7 months out, my wls was 12/6/02. My pre-op wt was 399lbs and I have loss 110 lbs. I walk 2 miles each morning rain or shine. and must say I enjoy doing it. I can do things I haven't done in years. I wish I had done this years ago, so I could of enjoyed my kids more as they were growing up. Im really sad about that part of my life, missing out , but that's the past. I can enjoy them now for sure, just like some husbands, don't like change I've heard my kids talk about their concerns also. I guess they think Im going to book up and leave them or something. I laugh about it but they are for real. I guess they think some man will find interest in me and take me away. LOL yeah right!, anyhow I must say I love my wl journey, and I do try to make this a fun thing everyday. I try not to cry the blues about every ache and pain that comes along. I had aches and pains before my wls and I didn't cry about it as much. maybe it was because I had nothing to blame it on. hmmmmmm. Oh well my AMOS friends take care and continue to do well on your journey, you are all big losers.~*~Hugs~*~

Everything has been wonderful - I've lost 63# and have not really had any complications. My husband & I thought we were being careful enough - but obviously weren't. I just took a test and it was positive. my next move is to move up my surgeon's check-up visit and my obgyn appt both to this week if possible. I am scared but quite excited. Wish me luck.... and congrats to all in your progress. Carol

Hi, I'm six months plus a few days out. I've lost about 110 lb. I have no regrets of having the surgery. I'd do it again in a heart beat. My only regret is that I did not do it sooner. I feel great. I think my hair loss is finally slowing down. I had an open RNY December 31, 2002

Well the first few weeks after surgery were horrible. I questioned my decision minute by minute. Now 6 months later. I am glad that I had the surgery. I am having quite a bit of hair loss, but that comes with the territory. I am working on the hair loss. I do have new hair coming in, but it seems so slow. I have lost 97 lbs. I was only a tad bit over 100 lbs. overweight. I say I need to lose another 20, my doctor says no only about 11 lbs.

I can't believe it has been 7 months since my surgery. I have lost 133 pounds! I have so much energy. I walk 2 miles five days a week and I joined Jazzercise about 4 weeks ago and I go 2 times a week. I have no problem doing the whole class. This is the best thing I could have done for myself. Thank you Dr. Rantis! Pre-op 368 Current 233

Hi Helen! I'm from Sherwood and my surgery date was 12/23/02. The best thing I ever did! I started at 325 and I'm down to 213 (112 lbs) I wasn't a light weight.. so I'm not sure about other light weights!!! I just wanted to respond to you since you were from Little Roc****ep up the good work... the weight WILL come off! Don't get discouraged!... Listen to us... we have ONLY lost 75-lbs or 112 lbs in 6 MONTHS!!! That is a blessing! We didn't get to 253 or 325 lbs in 6 months... it will take a while! Hope this has given you a new light of hope today!!! I'll be praying for you! Give me a chat at anytime! [email protected]! I'd love to hear from you! Debbie

I am 7 months out and have lost a total of 115 pounds! Quite the accomplishment for me! People see me and say, "thats a whole person you've lost". It is truly incredible and sometimes I think I am still obese. I am hoping my head catches up with my body soon. I feel good for the first time in several years, no more pain in my back and legs. I am so busy now that I don't even have time to watch my favorite soap! Thank you GOD, for watching over me and letting me come to a new life and be healthier!
