I'm feeling a bit like a failure.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post. You're right I was in kind of a defeatist mind set the day I wrote my first post. Everyone needs to count their blessings and I do everyday, it's just hard not to get mad at myself for falling into my same old habits.

Wow! This post is kinda old, but really hits home for me today. I saw all of the responses and felt not so very alone. I belong to a web group for post-op plus one year graduates who all seem to be at goal or under. They tell me I am not getting enough protein. Remember protein first?? I guess I forgot or no one told me to get so much. I was drinking one shake a day at 32 gm and thinking that was good supplementation. The people in my group are supplementing 80-120 gm of protein a day! Oh my! I tried it yesterday and was not hungry. I decided to try it for a week and see how it goes. I'll have my 2 year anniversary on 12/11 and would like to be closer to goal of 150. I am still hovering over 200.
