One Year Anniversary
Well, it's been 1 year, and I've lost 130lbs and I wear a straight size 16. I allways thought that you had to weigh under 200lbs to wear that size, but I guess not. I have a goal of 170 and I will continue to strive towards that, even if I don't dump now and I've began to eat sugar. The holidays kind of got to me, but I'm so grateful to Goid and my Dr. Streeter that I could just break down and cry right now. I get a lot of negative stuff from people, but they didn't suffer like I did before the weight loss and I'm not going to worry about them now. The only thing now is that I have a new love in my life, and I love my husband also, but it's going to work out ok I'm sure. I don't want to hurt him, but I had problems before the weight loss. maybe this is just a fling, and I have honestly tried to prevent this. If you have any advice I do welcome it, just don't beat up on me please.
Hey Leslie,
Congratulations on one year anniversary. I think that is a tremendous weight loss.. good for you.. Don't let negative people get to you. Just try and stay away from them if possible. I think we can give ourselves enough negativity without help from others! Be good to yourself! I didn't pay attention from where you hail from, until after I read the name Dr. Streeter.. Hey you live not to far from me. I am from Schererville and just had lap R-XNY 10/17/03 at the University of Chicago. I understand that Broadway Methodist also has gastric bypass meetings. Have you attended any? I am thinking of doing this. I think that support would be a good thing! So far I have lost 50#, but I am kinda of sorry I had the nerve to try a christmas cookie and some candy over the holidays. Unfortunately, I can tolerate the sugar in small amounts, no dumping has happened. Scarrey. I was afraid to try anything with sugar in it before the holidays. I work at a Dr office and the drug reps bring in all this stuff, plus the ladies bake and bring it in also. I was just too overcome with temptation! Glad the New year is almost here. Well, I am going to see "Cold Mountain" with Renee Zellweiger and Nicole Kidman. Heard Zellweiger did a fine performance in it. Did you see "Chicago"? She deserved the acadamy for that one I thought. Well happy New Year and keep your chin up.
Linda from Schererville
