Hellooooooooo
Hi Jeri
I had my surgery December 6th 2002 at Westchester Medical Center in NY. I initially lost around 150 pounds but in the last 3 years it has been coming back on, totally because of my grazing, late at night eating and not exercising consistently.
Never dreamed I would be up 35 pounds when I never even got near my goal (wanted to lose 250).
I have stopped the gain in the last 2 years, but no matter how many diets or programs or "back to basics" attempts I make, I am still struggling... even have been in therapy for several issues besides the food. This is definitely not the long term post op life I thought I would be living!

Hi, yes I'm back here looking for support and answers. My surgery was in Dec. 2002 and I lost 160 pounds but did not reach my goal to get down under 200 pounds. Since that time there has been a lot of things happen....Hurricane Katrina, my husbands cancer, move to another State, etc. I guess I have learned to eat sweets in small quantities and have eaten the "slider" type foods (pasta) that have put back on 50 pounds. I'm concerned about this weight. My appetite is small and I still eat small amounts of food, but the weight is returning.
Last week, I had an endoscopy to see if there were any problems with my pouch but the doctor said all looked fine. However, since then, I have had problems holding down solids of any kind and I keep burping and having to throw up. I don't know what is wrong. Perhaps, someone else has experiences this?
